Did you guys ever react to Dear slim I think that's what it's called by Joe Budden he wrote like literally a Dear John Letter to him lol I'm not even kidding Joe Budden knows he can't beat Eminem he knows it that's why he says he's retiring retired or not Eminem if somebody ever came at him the way he's going at Joe he would not say he's retired he'd get on a song in this him to death that's what Eminem does and what makes him great is he's passionate when he delivers his passion makes him great that's missing in a lot of rappers you going to have that passion like that's why he kind of reminds me of Tupac cuz Tupac wrapped with passion Eminem is definitely the best rapper I don't care what Joe Biden says what Vlad TV says with this new guy on my says they're just crazy they don't want him to be the best because he's white that's the bottom line and look at me I'm not white I'm like you well I'm half Puerto Rican so whatever anyway I'm just telling you Eminem is the best 25:09 oh and one more thing these people like this kid Mouse that doesn't rap doesn't do anything but he made a platform off of hanging on Eminem 25:09

Okay a Rubik's is not only a Rubik's Cube the word Rubik's means a mess it means of like everything's a mess it can be a beautiful mask it can be a horrible mess a Rubik's is just I don't know how to explain it it's a word by itself it doesn't have to be with cube a Rubik's Cube it's just a Rubik's is a word it just means something in your life is a mess I think so who knows but I know Rubik's isn't only used a Rubik's Cube that's all I'm saying and I'm sure a flaw you got that but maybe a couple people didn't

Eminem will tell you he it's an interview yes he had to learn how to wrap again he had it but he couldn't wrap the way he used to rap when he was younger that's all he had to learn that again and what I was going to say about methadone the same thing with me I understand it because if I didn't take that route I would have died and I never even touched fentanyl or anything like that I was prescribed Oxycontin so many and if I kept going that route I would have died methadone saved my life I understand it but you have to do it the right way that's why methadone get such a bad name cuz there's a bunch of people and you know it for doing it wrong taking pills when they're not supposed to and just doing Methadone for I don't know what reason not to help themselves obviously but if you do it the right way it will help you anybody out there who was afraid to get on it don't be more afraid to die 37:02

Joe Budden got a nerve Tuesday anything he wrote a dead John Letter to Eminem it's in a song it's not a dead John but he says Dear slim and if you listen to that song I hope you react to it you will hear how much of a fan he really is of Eminem so now that he's not in slaughterhouse he's reneging on everything that he said before like it just doesn't make no sense it's obvious hate and that's it and like you just said people listen but they're skimming through the music then not really listening cuz if they were they would understand that this is one of the best songs I Love the song

"Now the sky's blackening, I know the mark's high butterflies rip apart my stomach" I like this line because of how he uses the word "rip." The face value way, is describing the anxiety and nervousness he feels in the pit of his stomach. The second way, is to show how he "ripped" the word butterflies into separate words - making the new sentence: Now the sky's blackening, I know the mark's high, but as flies rip apart my stomach. That is way there is a pause when he delivers the line. Reach?

It's awesome he's using the "infinit monkey theorem" as a metaphor in the video. If you have a huge numbers of monkeys typing on typewriters over a huge amount of time, they will inevitably end up typing every combination of letters, invluding the collected works of Shakespeare. And you se all Eminems just typing letter salad through the video, but ends up writing Stan

Loved this reaction! The last verse gets me every time too!! There’s a podcast that Paul Rosenberg did for the release of Curtain Call 2, it was 6 or 7 episodes, each with someone important in Em’s life - so Royce, Mr Porter, Skylar Grey etc and the last 2 episodes are with Em. He talks in depth about his process after the O.D and getting back into rapping, the ‘accents’ he used in Relapse, the hate he got for Revival and the reasons behind it. There’s lots of great insights, you guys might enjoy it. Edit to add: interestingly, Em says that Castle and Arose from this album are possibly the best songs he’s ever written!

Came here to say exactly this. They'd definitely appreciate those episodes, it's of his best interviews ever in terms of sincerity, content and background information.. Stuff I never heard him talk about before like why his voice was different at certain point which was due to the severe tinnitus condition where he could not hear even the music properly during recording! Definitely check it out guys!

Eminem has told in interviews that his drug abuse/OD left him with damaged basic motor functions that he had to relearn. So he likely had some brain damage that needed rehabilitation/rewireing. But like you said, he likely had a lot of it still, prob just the motor part that needed work to be able go physically deliver again

Another thought I wanted to express was the fact that he named the song: Walk On Water and he has Beyonce featuring....who is considered also a goat in the singing industry, people see the both of them(in their respective music fields, as Larger than Life entities that are praised so much; SOMETIMES to a fault. However it was a very thoughtful and strategic decision to have these two on a track together. I love it, and I personally enjoy Revival, people just gotta give another shot.

The saddest thing is the people who need to hear the message in these songs the most, are the most vocally ignorant haters who refuse to acknowledge ANYTHING he says and they always use his old songs as 'proof' that he doesn't have any songs they can relate to. The Joe Buddens, the Charglamagnes, the 'Dr' Umars and the racist mfs who are blatant in their disregard for Ems credibility purely because of his skin colour. They will never change their mind, no matter how good a song Em has made or ever will.

I don't rap but I play the bass in a band and I 100% feel what Em is talking about writing his lyrics and being your own hardest critic! I do agree it's almost impossible to not want to create hits that others like, but I think it's more that he feels an obligation to deliver content that's nothing less than perfect, which is impossible (at least that's how I felt). I really don’t understand the hate for this song. It’s a deeply personal and reflective point of view from Eminem. Maybe it’s because they’re not actually taking in the lyrics? People did to this song, exactly what he was talking about in the song. Pick it apart and hold him to a standard that is extremely difficult to reach for him. He’s just a regular person

A lot of Eminems in a room typing is a way of him being humble but also acknowledging his own greatness. There's a saying that an infinite amount of monkeys punching a typewriter will eventually type Shakespeare

Actually although Em got heat from this song, Joe defended it as new kind of content from Em. He did not critique it. Later though he went off on Untouchable and the album as a whole

This is actually Sylar Greys song. She wrote & sang originally while working with Rick Rubin. Em overheard Rick playing it. She's performed it with him live. This is a concept storyteller song & very stripped down for effect & tue message. Not to hero worship celebrities, they are normal human with flaws & problems. Theres no beat or instruments just a basic piano run

I’m 43 years old and is on suboxone! So I definitely understand about methadone! The only difference is I don’t have to go to the clinic everyday to get my daily dose, I get enough to take them at home but it’s still all the same shit!….we all trying quit the life that we were living!

If you haven’t heard believe by em it’s the next song on this same album and the end of walk on water is the transition into the next song. Crazy too cause believe is saying if you stopped believing in him or don’t believe in him he’s gonna make them pay. Then the next album was kamikaze 🤯 he warned them and they didn’t listen lol
