There is actually a interview with one of Eminem's friends called Hush and he talks about why Em wrote all this song about Kim, He said that she just to be very Toxic and Horrible to him when they were into the celebration party for the SSLP, she started making a scene also Spit on his face Infront of everybody. So this is partially true. He did have a skit with a Kim blow up doll, but then transitioned to the song “kill you”. I looked for just a bit but could not locate a video or set list that includes “Kim” on it. Now in her defense, I do not think Kim has his whole catalog memorized, especially songs that she inadvertently helped inspire. Earlier in the night, they discussed if he would perform it, with him stating there is no way he would. With the Kim skit, the crowd laughing at the persona of her, she believed he was going against he word and that led to everything else. I would have cut the skit part out, but I’m much older and wiser then Eminem was at that time. So let me try and help you connect the dots she may actually turn around and enjoy the song after this. So the dead Husband is actually Eminem the performer of the song is Slim Shady. The idea is the struggle of losing who you are through having the extra persona eating at you constantly. So the cheating is Slim Shady trying to take over and end both Eminem and Marshall Mathers. This is why he sees Eminem as being a different person. The dead child represents their lack of future children due to the split up. Then toward the end we have Marshall Mathers trying to regain control saying get a grip Marshall you are starting to crack up. Just as a side note when he wrote this song him and Kim was split up and her parents kept him from seeing his daughter. The inspiration came from him watching a horror film mixed with how he was feeling. To my knowledge he only performed this song 1 time at concert then retired it.
