I wonder when she wrote this but it might be referring to those years when Em was in drugs and shit. When I think back to how she used to look upto him growing up and eventually getting to know him and having worked together for years now, I can’t help but be convinced if my hunch is right on point. And coz of that, this line hits me heavy. Especially watching her sing this live, it almost made me tear up. I don’t know if they’ll ever end up a couple but I hope they can maintain this amazing chemistry they got. Their bond is special, moreso for artists as big as Em. Pretty sure we’ll get to hear a lot more great music from this beautiful musical duo in the years to come.
