- He says that in two different paragraphs, when he’s already changed entirely . He starts off being Slim‘s biggest Fan, but then, later, still no answer, He goes crazy. That is the whole point of the song, and it’s not a lack of care for the lyrics, it’s the exact opposite.

I think he indicates that his brother LIKES Eminem more, while Stan is his biggest fan in spite of Eminem's flaws that he's aware of. While his brother is still a little kid and only knows about Eminem's music, which he likes.

Something about this song is so beautiful though, even though its really distrubing. I think its because Its Em telling the story. Its about a fan who is disturbed. I think the fact that Em has dedicated a song for him, shows that he recognises that a large part of his fan base probably does have issues. They relate to Eminem because he has had a difficult life too. By Em writing this song, its showing that even though he can't personally help all his fans, he recognises their struggles and has compassion for them. A less understanding celebrity, might try to distance himself from a fan who behaved in this way. And all though Em defintly isn't condoning this behaviour - hes still trying to help people through their struggles.

Shame that they didn't do the full song. It deserves the full build up and conclusion to do it justice. The live band really brings out a whole new aesthetic. Maybe if more hip hop had this kind of instrumentation, it would get more respect from people as a real art form.

Chiros Ie a whole new aesthetic? what?

As in bringing out a new color/feel to the song, that wasn't there before. The live bass in particular really opens up the musicality of this piece --- makes it feel alive. Authentic. (as opposed to the 'processed/digital' sound we're used to hearing). For a dark ballad like this, it's a perfect combination.

There's still music out there that means something.. u just have to look beyond mainstream now especially away from pop n hip hop. I've gone to rock n metal and found amazing bands n songs. Within rappers NF is growing big. Thats the only one in this time who doesn't cuss or use bad language but makes every song relatable and he stands out from the rest bcuz he does things that isn't something ppl do in hip hop. His music is cinematic sound with lot of symbolic visuals in music videos. While rappers like kendrick joyner logic J cole etc are all gr8 too but they don't stand out like NF.. bcuz they're within in that typical culture. They have their own flow n good hype songs n great with the pen too but they're just not as emotional connectable if that makes sense. Check out NF the outcast of hip hop if you haven't already

HEY GUYS...i'm fan of EMINEM from INDONESIA. In the 2000's I memorized a lot of EMINEM songs and performed them with my band. Songs I memorized first: Forgot About Dre, The Way I am, Lose Your Self, I Love The Way You Lie... Anyway, if Eminem and all of you encounter difficult life problems, depression, want the heart to be calm, the EASY WAY, read "YA SAYYIDI YA RASULULLAH" 100 times every day. For those of you who have trouble sleeping, just reading it won't require any other medication, PROVE IT GUYS.

This is how rap/hiphop should be played. With REAL INSTRUMENTS. Not those fucking computer shit of nowadays. THIS is music, not that shit you kids call rap nowadays. See how much more it gives it to the performance?

Wu Tang And that's totally ok man. The fact is that i'm talking about nowadays. Nowadays MOST (don't mean everyone, i said most) are just lazy and relies too much on computers and premade beats to write "songs". That's my issue. I love me some good old rap/hip hop. It hasn't to do anything with liking rock or any other genre. It's about MUSIC.
@davidepannone60217 жыл бұрын
***** True. Tho in my book, real instruments played by people will always be better than a machine reproducing binaries. And in this performance of Stan, is undeniable.

The details on how he composed his lyrics in most of his songs are so descriptive and expressive to the point that I as a listener could picture every verse as a scene in my head so clearly, like watching a movie.

It feels quite weird seeing Eminem rapping to this in 2013. I feel like Em's evolved way beyond Stan and it's almost like he's a different artist in this video compared to the artist he was back in 2000 when he released Stan.

I can't believe how beautiful this is. honestly. the music is bone-chilling, and he is flawless here with it. there is emotion in this that i haven’t seen before when he’s performed this song. it’s like stan is disappointed as opposed to angry. it’s like a new perspective and it’s really beautiful.
