Modern day Eminem is too complex with his word play. Like, back in the day, I didn't need to read the lyrics to understand what he was saying. Now, I have to read the lyrics sometimes to know what he was saying, because of his complex word pattern. I hate it but that's just his genius capabilities.

Double to triple entendres; matched syllable count to the BPM of the beat. Great use of literary devices: similes and metaphors, etc... to compliment his wordplay. Stretched, masculine rhymes and feminine rhymes. A touch of synecdoche to further accentuate on his general meaning. His common use of ad hominem that brings out the aggression in his lyrics. This man is truly a genius and most don't even realize.

The first thing that comes to my head with Eminem's word play, don't ask me why, is "Plus I show up with a coat fresher than wet paint" from Beserk. That line is legendary

His newest “ like a evil spell” I am E V I L! And then literally spelled the word. That was great.

And then MGK's world play: "his beard is weird. " Lol

Notice how this all happened after he got sober? Yeah, and people say new Eminem suck.

Ems newest material is more for fans of pure lyricism. It's definitely more technical and complex and not everybody likes having to try so hard to catch/understand it. I like it cause I like puzzles and mysteries and his new(ish) songs are kind of like that where you can't just listen to it you gotta figure it out and I get a little rush when I do, but I understand why some people don't like it and just want to bump their head and/or relate/feel a song.

Crowned is also slang for getting beat up, which isn’t a big enough punishment, so this king gets capped, slang for getting shot. And capped is also slang for a lie, which is what this false king did. Eminem did all of this in 2 bars. This man is incredible
