Fr everyone makes it about black and white I’ve heard more rappers say em is one of the best rappers ever but I always see ppl hating on em that’s black online then always saying to white ppl of course you think Eminem is this or that that’s yalls god. When shit if em was black he would be guaranteed to be considered one of the goats but since hes white he always gets some sort of hate but thats just like lil Wayne he may not be everyone’s cup of tea but he is still a goat. When it comes to album sales and knowledge of music and rap those two are on a different level compared to any rapper todays mainstream *aside from Kendrick and Cole* even most all the old school guys most of them paved the way and craft for them to be that tho and also they all have different styles and shit too so it’s hard to said a goat but I always say one of them and I don’t know how many can argue that just like you can’t really argue drake based off sales alone even tho he’s not the shit to me

There are no white fans of hip-hop who only listen to white rappers.
@ckdc65224 ай бұрын
It's not about him just being white. It's more about marketability. Eminem is easier to market to more mainstream audiences. He's always been edgy, but it's a type of edge that white markets are a little more comfortable with. As a result, he's able to penetrate the mainstream music market a lot better. I definitely knew a lot of kids growing up that mostly listened to pop and rock but also Eminem. None of them would listen to NWA or Nas, but through Eminem, they're exposed to broader hip hop.

It's really an undisputable fact because jay z himself came out and said Em bodied me on my own track. Em actually wrote renegade he did body him on the performance. Showing that he can write in your voice and his..that's so rare

I realized that Eminem has reached the peak of how good you can rap on a mic. You cannot write lyrics in no language that can outdue what he's already delivered. The man is a lyical mutant, and it sad that there is a humans who listen to him and can't detect talent.

As Em himself put it on one of his tracks featuring Dre: “Cause we done swam with the sharks, wrestled with alligators Spoke to a generation of angry teenagers whom, if it wasn't for rap to bridge the gap, may be raised to be racist. Who may have never got to see our faces. Graced the cover of Rolling Stone pages. Broke down barriers of language and races” The point is, wether you personally like Em or not, his presence and power in the genre helped spread it far and wide through demographics who may never have given hip-hop/rap a second thought. The same goes for for artists whom he features, or who feature him on their tracks. He has drawing power, as do they. It’s a synergistic relationship.

This is exactly it! When I was getting into music in the early/mid 90s, a lot of what was popular was "gangster rap", which really didn't speak to me or my life. But then Em came on the scene talking about being poor white trailer trash that nobody expected much from. And that clicked with me. And I am so glad because it opened me up to so much other great music that I probably wouldn't have paid any attention to otherwise.

If I had one wish, maybe I would wish for people to understand, life is not a competition, it’s collaboration. 😊

Renegade was Eminem’s song. His verses never changed from the original version with Royce the 5’9. Jayz verse was added, Royce’s got dropped, the beat got fine tuned by Eminem and he gave it to Jayz.

Bro is right. Holyshit I never ever thought of that at all. Em or Jay didn’t realize what was gonna happen after that song came out. Thanks for that input…

Listen to Goodie Mob. Big Gipp was always dropping gems of knowledge and wisdom. As well as on OutKast tracks and anything else he’s been on.

i think that question is asked so much to so many rappers is just to see who the true haters are because everybody knows the answer.

People just dismiss Gip as a Jay hater. But he’s always speaking facts. And he does big him up as well.

Hold up! Eminem isn't the only one killing it on the mic. He can't get all the shine. What about Rakim, Nas, 50 Cent, Jadakiss, Cam'ron, Busta Rhymes, Lil Wayne, Black Thought, Nick Grant, J Cole, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, Nipsey Hussle, Ludacris and Royce da 5'9"? etc. They're killing it on the mic too. Eminem is just one of many. Facts.🎯💯🎙️🔥🥶🫵🫡🇯🇲🌎

Anyone who says Em's verse wasn't relatable wasn't listening to it. They just heard how he was piecing it together. There's a difference.

Oh that was one hell of a song... Damn!!! I remember way back when this song came out! My Older cousin and I were interpreting this song, I was Eminem And Him Jay-Z... We destroyed our school party. Damn that was one great day in our lives! Wow what a reminder...

EM's STILL "A MONSTER". More now than ever. Nobody can touch EM lyrically. There is no argument to be had. I bought "The Blueprint" the day it came out. Why? 'Cause I knew EM was on "Renegade". I'm a huge Jay-Z fan, but I wouldn't have gone out & bought that CD the day it came out if I didn't know EM was on the album. That album made me a WAY bigger fan of Jay. I went out & bought all of Jay's albums after that, & studied all of them. I'm a white dude, this guy is spot on with every single thing he said. -

Best part is Em made that track with Royce way before and never changed a word.
