My dad got offered as a Turkish Airlines pilot. He got accepted and now is a pilot. My dad is nearly head cheif of thy. Turkish airlines won as i have met all of the pilots and gone on them. Good job Turkish Airlines. Very soft. Although Emirates has a fancy lounge and business class place. This is about landing not the beauty. Congratulations Turkish Airlines. The landing was amazing!

You simply can't compare cross wind landings, conditions change rather quickly. It's pretty clear Emirates had no gust during main gear touch down, there isn't any movement on rudder and it's pretty clear, where as if you look at Turkish airlines you can clearly see that he was maxing out the rudder to compensate for gusts. Winner is both. In my book any landing that you can walk away from is a winner.

It is wellknown that the A330 is more easy to land than the 777. Search on youtube for "smooth landings a330" and you will see

In comparing these two landings you just compare them based on their VS, distance from centerline and distance from touchdown marker. Since the distance from touchdown marker can't be used in that camera angle then just compare using VS and distance from centerline. In following those options Emirates is the winner. In appearance their VS would appear like their the same but in the distance from centerline Emirates wins. So the winner is totally Emirates. By the way it won't be compared based on its coolness, it will be compared based on doing it the RIGHT way.

Watching the video and reading through the comments, you see how bias people are, cause one or the other is their favorite airline, my view is that Emirates were more shaken on approach, but landed smoothly, while turkish airline were more smooth on approach, but less control when they landed on the tarmac.

I'm a Turkish nationality frequent flyer. Emirates landing is obviously better and more confortable for passengers than Turkish 777, however we have to consider the wind conditions of both landings. It seems more gusty during the landing of Turkish. I've flown with Turkish 777s many times and I mostly prefer very aft rows due to 2 abreast window seats. High speed drift at the aft section of the long aircrafts is quite disturbing during cross wind landins.

you can never know the conditions during those landings so cut the crap... Both are safe and successful landings, TA (THY) might land in worse condition you can never know it for sure.

No, you're absolutely wrong. The Emirates flight landing looks way too rough compared to THY. Despite the wind having more impact on THY, it's landing was on point. Oh and no, you're not Turkish nationality, on behalf of all proud Turks, we've officially disowned you, siktir git. Have a good day.
