I would love it if Emma got married, had children and was a kind tender mother. But that requires an adult woman, so she would first have to get rid of the Peter Pan Syndrome that afflicts her...

@@adriana95108 I'm saying that Emma Watson is 30 years old, so, to me, she seems very childish, very infantile or puerile. Back in the 70s and even 80s an 18-year-old female was already a woman, spoke like a woman, behaved like a woman and had the bearing of a woman. That's all. I hope you won't become all melodramatic fakely outraged about my opinion in an open opinion forum...

@@rubicunduseratiudas1264 if you want 18 year old girls to get pregnant like in the 70s then go to war or something. YOU'RE NOT LIVING IN THE 70s MY GUY. and you're the melodramatic fakely outraged here. i asked a mere "what?" and you give me this long ass rant

It's really weird to see this lady somehow looking exactly the same as when she was 15 but at the same time you can see the age on her face in the most natural way and you can feel the maturity and comfort... it kind of gives me comfort for myself when I think about aging, even though I'm just 3 years behind her... It's nice because I grew up watching her, but even now I still relate.

I read that thinking of Rebecca Solnit then I realized.......oh, you mean the mature Emma Watson. That was deft handling of the interview.....I suppose it could've ran a little long with the author "going off".... but Emma got in what was required for the piece. I only just discovered this side of her..... OH.... I'm a white male....I say that because....I hated my early job applications... "White male, between the ages of....oh, you don't need this job....just live off your wealth!" My parents provided for me very well....... but, I actually NEED a job!..... Well, today, I'm very old..... & people want Uncle Sam to provide for me these days....but not too much! If I stop consuming life, they can stop supplying my income..... it's a struggle!

“I successfully avoided husbands and children and day jobs. These things could really interfere with your productivity.” These words remind me of when Trevor Noah was asked (by Stephen Colbert who’s happily married with children) how he could do his late night show, and go on stand-up tours, and write a book, and do a bunch of interviews/podcasts etc. But Trevor’s answer is just - “because I don’t have a family.” You really can’t have the best of both worlds lol

I think with a husband it may work pretty easily. Kids are more complicated because they need more of your time. But my boyfriend and I live together and do pretty much anything a husband and wife would and we both chase our goals individually. :) You just need to make the time to go on dates and make it a habit to spend time together for dinner for instance.

“I successfully avoided husbands and children and day jobs. These things could really interfere with your productivity.” Yeah...and who do you think is buying your work and giving you their money?? Those same "unproductive" people with husbands and children and day jobs. I highly doubt only productive people buying your dumb work is gonna sustain your life style.

@@qwerty9398 wth she didn't say anything offensive !! It is true that having a family can interfere with productivity especially for women since raising kids and most of the house chores fall on them, but some people can make it work if they're good at time management, or have better supporting husbands but it's still difficult. She didn't mean it in a bad way, she was just speaking the truth.

I agree with points about anger. The association with power and rage is something we have learnt through a masculine concept of power. That's not to say women can't be angry or shouldn't be angry but compassion is even more powerful force a creative and opening force. It's seen as weaker because its associated with femininity.
