"gender equality is not a women's issue, it is human issue. it effects us all"
@RhetoricalMuse8 жыл бұрын
+Vinay Sawant So does recycling. And the environment. And child abuse. And the recession. And obesity. And so forth. You know why? Cos' we are social creatures. Economics is also a social game. The comment you retorted is nonsensical word play. Example: 'financial equality is not a women's issue, it is a human issue. it effects us all'. Apply whatever you want and it is the same. Also always points to one thing. Communism.

''Gender equality'' does not exist.There is a thing called Biology ROFL
@claireb.96387 жыл бұрын
Tintin Degrelle "gender" is actually a representation produced by society it has nothing to do with biology, it what you associated with the idea of men or women

Oh please gender and sex are the same thing. Always has been until around 2014 when tumblirinas started to desperately change it to mean "feels"

Thehiddensimmer actually it started in the 60's with many studies on genders... and by saying that you are denying the reality of transgender people, their feelings. Saying that is also reducing your identity to your sexuality...

@@hellogoodbye4061 Sorry what are you on about? While Emma obviously is bringing awareness to the inequality and difficulties that women face, we all know that nobody escapes inequality. Obviously there are roles that boys and men are expected to play. You can't sit here and pretend that men aren't in the generally privileged position relative to the women in their respective socioeconomic groups. Hell, consider that women spend a week each month bleeding with hormones going wild and still operate with the same mental facilities as us men. Inequality for men, minorities, financially disadvantaged peoples, disabled peoples, and all groups of people must be addressed, but there are priorities. That priority is why Emma Watson deals with Feminism and why there's a BLM movement, while Men's rights groups are unpopular. Ideally, we would deal with all social issues simultaneously, but that's rather beyond the average human capacity. We tend to only be able to focus on one thing at a time, if that. So we try to deal with the biggest ones at a time.
@hellogoodbye40613 жыл бұрын
@@tjkim1999 Okay, answer one question, what right under law do men have that western white women, who comprise the vast bulk of today's feminists, do not? And please, do not respond with the universally mocked and debunked gender pay gap, come with something real. Your comment, seemingly taken straight out of a gender studies textbook, with all the word salad, buzzwords and mythical cries of oppression and privilege, implies that women have it tougher in TODAY'S world than men. ***Women comprise 65 percent of college graduates, 70 percents of doctorates. ***Men overwhelmingly comprise the vast majority of homeless, drug and alcohol addiction, suicide and prisoners. Workplace injuries and fatalities are overwhelmingly men. ***"we tend to only be able to focus on one thing at a time:....seems the last three decades have been all women, no men. So suicide, drug and alcohol addiction, workplace deaths, homelessness, and boys and men falling behind in education are not one of the "biggest ones" ... rather society should focus on the scourge of man-splaining and manspreading and the defeat of the patriarchy. Feminism is popular? Sweet mother of God, what rock have you been living under...Less than 10 percent of women - not men, women - identify as feminists, even less among women under 35.....Men's groups are unpopular because men do not think like feminists, rather men overall believe that society as a whole should tackle all of societies issues together....and not, as you cited, just the more important female-centric ones...what a horrid mindset to have and to implant into young girls heads - that they suffer more than boys and men. I'm not pretending anything that women have it better today than men, it is reality and men are finding it harder and harder with each passing year. Actually I feel bad for Watson, as feminists have more or less brainwashed her to serve as the pretty face of their movement and, later in life, when she realizes she's been played, damn, is she going to be pissed.
@hellogoodbye40613 жыл бұрын
@@tjkim1999 And please keep in mind that HeForShe (and why the hell isn't this called HeANDShe) goal is to recruit men into the feminist movement, yet you yourself said the focus should be solely on women, as men are just sitting around , smoking their pipes, in their slippers by the fireplace, talking all patriarchy stuff...... hey, men out there, TJ Kim says that "men are in the generally privileged position relative to women"....now go onto any college campus and note the ratio of women to men...now, remember, all those women you see are oppressed so you have to do what they say.

I find it really irritating how you people picking on her in the comment section seem to be so full of criticism. It seems like whatever Emma does, you cannot be pleased. It's irritating and frustrating how you keep criticizing what she does. If you're so intelligent, then why don't YOU get up and do something that makes a change in the world? Picking on someone who actually uses their voice and fame really seems stupid to me.

1. No. I don't think Emma is not pleasing. She's an attractive woman and I admire her acting 2. Everyone has a right to criticize anyone. Plus she's a fucking millionaire 3. Respected mam I love ur judicious conversations, arguments and, self analysis and so on.. plz madam make a video on new waves of feminism with special reference to pakistan where many a woman doesn't want change and strictly attached to religion but in reality not due to religion. Because society is currently allow them as many HIGH COURT judgments support them and also civil society etc etc ... I personally don't think religious extremism is a hurdle in flourishing the women's status in Pakistan especially in the Punjab province and ICT. It's only women's own reluctance to accept rapid transformation into this era. What will they do in a country which itself facing a series of problems like unemployment. .. men also don't have job even after Mphil ... so women are attracted to the obedience of their husbands etc ... plz it's my humble plea deliver a lecture on it ... if respected mam u also reluctant to make a video due to shortage of time then NO ISSUE. Only stay blessed madam💚

I think there should be a Men's UN branch. This is basic gender equality. Just because women get mistreated by society, it does not mean that men automatically are treated better. Both genders are struggling in different ways. I am tired of female centric equality groups. Being a none conformist male, is not fun. Just like being a none conformist female, is not fun. We can argue the details all day long. The bottom line is, both genders need help, both genders need to treat each other better.
@Sophie-ky1jb8 жыл бұрын
+nubpuncher6969 I think she touched on that subject slightly with the young man who was pressured to drink "manly" drinks etc. But yes, I agree we do need to have a bigger voice for men.

Skulduggery Pleasant It is better than nothing for sure. Still ridiculous how she initially said "that doesn't sound like a good reason for equality", basically downplaying what he said. Men are not seeking help for their problems, they are self medicating and committing suicide, at alarming rates. Just sucks how "her for she" is basically saying that boys have to help girls out even more... Feels like we are focusing on the wrong problems. :/ not a fan of Emma Watson really after seeing these speeches.
