Can we please think of the fact that there are thousands of girls who look, act, and sing the part of Belle waiting for their breakthrough only to find out that since they didn’t have the status they were not picked.

Good point. Although I wish Emma didn't get so much hate. The creators had a bias, plus autotuned her voice. Emma seriously doesn't deserve the backflash.

Midnight but she did ruin the costumes with her false act of feminism by not wearing corsets. Corsets actually did not cause women any pain and they were originally manufactured by women too. Men even wore corsets. The lies that it caused people pain were spread by men who want to take down the industry. I usually respect people unless they turn SJW and become so woke.

Absolutely! I haven't stopped thinking about it since the day they announced her as Belle and she decided to rub salt in the wound by declaring "I just got my dream role!. I can't wait to start singing lessons." That right there is why she deserves part of the blame. The Disney executives most certainly deserve as much blame since they only cared about the profits and used her typecasting to bring in revenue. But make no mistake, that Ms.Waston's arrogance about musical capability and how much she lacks in that department prove she is far from an innocent bystander. And having heard the soundtrack with her genuine vocals in which she goes from raspy to shrill. With no heart at that. I will not brush it under the rug. Just like how she was able to misguide the public about wearing a corset is a torture device. She has also set a terrible example about how singing is an instant achieveable feat within a few months of basic lessons. This is like an eqivilant of someone trying to convey they can become an olympic gymnist with some primary coaching. Point blank it is not true! So many people have come under the wrong impression that musical theatre is as easy as it comes and anybody can handle it. Not only in vocal technique. But the acting. This is an art. It needs to treated as such. Hence why a musical theatre actress should be given the role. Go figure it should have gone hand in hand. This is why Disney and Ms.Waston alike are going to be haunted by this for years to come. They all are responsible for disrespecting this piece and the art that is theatre.

@@jeiaelise6365 So wonderful to meet another person who understands. You should check out my list of actresses who could have been stunning in this classic role. Some have already been on the coveted stage of Broadway or the West End as the leading lady. Others have been alternates or understudies. Some have made an impact in their own countries with smaller but still remarkable theatre districts (Australia and The Philippines have some of the astonishing talent I have ever come across) A few have still managed work in reginal shows garnering some attention as a talent on the rise. Some are still working to make their big breaks and have put out showreel videos hoping it will gain attention to get an audition in the future. But just like you said. Regardless of their status. What they all have in common is they each can sing beautifully, dance gracefully and act tremendously.

FranX- I can't stress enough how with theatre artists you can have the entire package. There isn't any reason not to hire them. They check all of the boxes when it comes to the requirements for a musical. They don't just act, sing and dance. They do it all in spectacular fashion! And how exactly is Ms.Waston "acting" on any of these musical numbers? All there is from her is vocal fatigue.

Overall I agree with you. But I hope you agree that for the type of film they were trying to make, a musical theatre actor wasn’t the right type of actor? But because I’m a fan of EW, I’m gonna make a case of course! ;) firstly they could have spent more time in singing lessons, it wouldn’t have hurt, and also, as I said, you can hear Emma’s voice behind the auto tune which sounds perfectly good without it. Maxwell Chappell- The real tragedy about this not all of it is autotuned . Some of it is just Ms.Waston doing poor singing. That's her constantly going sharp, ever present choppy breath control, going nasal, a massive warble on the vibrato and having less then a one octave range. Above all. Not being emotionally connected because she is too fatigued to even do recitative delivery at a decent level. This is the equivalent of someone jumping head first into strength training who doesn't even know the basics about it. The vocal cords are a muscle. So just like evolving your arm or leg muscles. They need to be developed slowly and steadily. With time and diligence while concentrating on the technical aspects of how your singing gradually improves. It will show. It just as well will display when you have no musical knowledge at all. As is proof while listening to this comparison. Paige clearly started training by focusing on the key components. Letting the high notes come from the back of the throat. Just like how you yawn. Paying attention to the mouth shapes, and projecting the sound from the abdomen, not through the nose. And later integrated the emotions of personality into the role while staying on pitch. All of this can most certainly be achieved at a level of excellence with discipline and time. But it does NOT after a few months of lessons.

@Silver54ful 6 жыл бұрын
hi lo I've seen and heard that clip before. But I tried once more. I blocked out all other form of sound and honed in on Ms. Waston's voice. Wiped my slate clean of any prior thoughts and opinions I had. Here is the verdict. If she spent the next five years with a truly dedicated vocal instructor who didn't cut corners. And Ms.Waston herself immersing into her studies of the vocal cords and how to characterize it. She very well could have a pleasant instrument. Not a pure nor a powerful one as it would take far longer then five years to achieve that. Regardless, she could have been lovely in terms of an easy listening voice. Just like Amy Adams on Enchanted and Nicole Kidman for Moulin Rouge. However, since she went into this project raw. It remains how weak her vocal cords are. And it shows. Her vocal muscles are painfully strained. Try as she might when she puts breath under her tone to go for an octave leap. It falls woefully short. The painful lack of ease to carry out musical phrases is too obvious to ignore. Let alone give them emotional life. Having "some" vocal flaws is one thing. Just like with Amy Adams and Nicole Kidman. Neither didn't try to make it a secret they were not in the professional singing bracket. Be that as it may, they were well versed on the vocal basics in their studies prior to being cast as a leading lady in a musical film. The range is small but they carry out the pitch and intonation with fine results. But they didn't just focus on technique. They made certain to color every musical phrase with what emotion needed to be delivered just as they would with the spoken dialogue portion of the script. Ms. Waston's performance is "constant" flaws. This isn't even worthwhile recitative delivery. Everything about it demonstrates her vocal cords are fatigued. Not even this autotune can cover it up.

Well, she's singing about how bored she is with this little town and the same old provincial life, so it makes sense why she's bored. She sounds engaged when singing about her book because she's interested in it. Paige just sounds too happy about what Belle is supposed to be bored with, the character is even smiling when singing about what she's bored of. So Emma sounding bored was intentional and adds more to the character's emotional context.

Emma Waston sounds bored and fatigued in all of the songs. There isn't any range in terms of phrasing or coloring to display her character is going through a journey. The line "Isn't this amazing?!" Low and behold that Belle should sound amazed by what she is reading. Or how about "There must be more then this provincial life!" Needs to have burning desire ring to it. Paige O'Hara brings a full dimensional approach to her acting and singing. Ms.Waston couldn't even sustain the notes for a few seconds before sounding exhausted again. Let alone bring any emotional texture to what she sings.

Antphoneigh- First and foremost. I commend your courage to be so blunt. Justin Katsopolis- It's not about us singing against Ms. Waston. It is about the legit triple threats who come from genuine musical theatre who never need "any" autotune and were passed over in casting by a famous face who doesn't have musical ability without computer enhancement. A true singer/actress can sing live beautifully and with full fledge emotion every single time. Ms. Waston can not. If she were capable. She would have sung live for us to hear. She didn't because she knows deep down this score is out of her league. I can name a great number of women who can do this score justice. In both vocal technique and feeling. The fact that they were not even glanced at is more then a shame.

Let alone keep any phrasing or coloring to imply she is emotionally invested in what she is singing (I use the term very loosely) and was in desperate need of the autotune software is being compared to a brilliant actress and singer. Ms. Waston does not even scratch the surface of even doing recitative delivery decently. Not only that. There are many, many musical theatre actresses out there who could have done this classic role justice on all levels. Sincere triple threat talent was passed over because said "famous face" wanted to have the role and did not have to go through a genuine audition to get the part. And the Emma Waston die hard fans wonder why we are upset? That is the real tragedy here.

Abc Abc- Paige O'Hara is evidence that one can fuse pitch perfect beauty with genuine emotion. People try to proclaim it's either all about a singer who sounds pretty but has no heart. Or there's the actor who just barely holds the tune. As if film producers can not find the combination of both. The truth of the matter is. There are so many of these incredible performers out there just like Paige who can achieve both seamlessly. The problem with Hollywood is that they refuse to pick the unknowns now. They basically just said "To heck with full fledged talent. It's all about the big names bringing in big bucks. " The director of the 2007 Disney film Enchanted fought the producers because they didn't trust a then unknown Amy Adams to carry the leading role. Despite the fact she was a triple threat. Thankfully in that case, the director of that film won the battle. Amy received incredible reviews (from critics and audiences alike) on her abilities as an actress and singer in equal measure. Enchanted may not have been a record breaking blockbuster but it still did fantastic at the box office. And Amy got several award nominations. Won a couple as well. And so started her career as a go-to chameleon actress. To think of what could have been if Disney did the same with this BATB adaptation. How an aspiring singer/actress could have have had her big break. And the world would have discovered a refreshing new talent. Hmm? Come to think of it. Isn't that what happened for Julie Andrews, Jodi Benson, Lea Salonga, Anika Noni Rose as well as Paige O'Hara?

@Silver54ful

@@yippedoodah True. They were not massive stars at the time. I know Lily James had gained a certain amount of recognition from her time on the program Downton Abbey. Though I had never seen the show before. I ended up loving her performance in Cinderella! Much like Amy Adams, I follow Lily's career now. She's impressed me very much. I'm less entusiastic about Elle Fanning as Aurora but I will happily acknowledge her gift in general as an actress. If I remember correctly however. I think Elle's first big break was in the film Super 8. Ms. Waston had always been vocal towards the end of the Harry Potter franchise about how she desired to play Belle. Roughly around the same time Disney decided live action remakes would be the next best step for profiting the studio. (Before they had managed to seal the deals with Marvel and Star Wars) And along with that came all of these press articles and social media posts demanding her wish get fulfilled. Initially I wasn't that hung up on it at the time as Alan Menken himself had declared a musical version had been "canned". Then when Disney retracted his statement saying the live action remake would be musical onscreen I grew concerned. The day it was confirmed Ms.Waston booked the job and she left her own statement "I got my dream role! I can't wait to start singing lessons." My heart felt as if it had been ripped out! My intuition was screaming this was an enormous mistake. I truly don't want to come across as if I am bragging but I have to say this. My gut instinct was right. Disney and Ms.Waston butchered the beloved character Belle. To this day I can't get over how unjust this casting decision was. They have actually acheived the wost possible outcome. Not only picking someone who has a wretched voice. But someone who sucked the very soul out of the character. So true with most cartoons someone does the singing while another does the acting. But it's impossible to do with live action. Now the directors wanted to pick well known actors so the film would sell well but honestly if ethnicity was put aside there are a lot of actors who actually can sing who could have done the role better. But they should have had her take some vocal classes since Belle's singing is the main character or had her lip sync and give credit to another. Her sining is just dull like someone reading the lines of hte lyrics. Paige put character into the singing plus i like how she put vibrato and hit the high notes. Emma could not hit the high notes
@AlphabetCookie
@AlphabetCookie 7 жыл бұрын
Yeah I think it's not too hard to dub a live action singing voice. She would just have to move her mouth while someone sings. They do that anyway. They don't sing while being filmed, they sing into a microphone. And then they move their mouth while acting the singing scenes. I think they should have gotten someone else. I appreciate Emma Watson's effort but I didn't like it. Let alone that, I don't think she was a good choice for the character Belle. Totally wrong personality, energy, and vibe. They just chose her because she's famous and it would bring attention. And I don't mind what ethnicity an actress is as long as they look like Belle. It might be hard to do if the actress wasn't white, but unless the ethnicity plays a role in the story (in this story it doesn't at all) and the actress looks like the character, it doesn't matter. In this movie, Belle should look a lot like the animated original. I don't think Emma even looks like Belle besides the clean skin, brown eyes, ethnicity, and brown hair; the face structure and features are nothing alike, but whatever. :) I don't dislike Emma at all, this just wasn't good casting. It was done because she's famous rather than that she's really like Belle.

And they do live singing on a regular basis with pure soul and solid vocal technique. And "never" use any autotune! Belle is a multi-faceted character who transitions as the story progresses. Paige O'Hara delivers every emotional color in the rainbow. Despair, fury, curiosity, joy, and terror, and boredom. There is a massive difference between subtle acting and just being plain wooden.

Just like how James Cameron knew what he was doing for Avatar? Box office gold. That doesn't make it the greatest film of all time. Beauty and the Beast was not only a profitable title from it's animated couterpart. It was a highly respectable piece by critics and beloved by audiences. That respect and love came from genuine craft and entrusting talent. Famous or not. Their goal was to make a film that got people emotionally invested. The box office results and Oscar nomination for Best Picture was the cherry on top. And well deserved. This new adaptation (regardless of it's massive box office numbers) will never have nearly the same value as a cinematic art form. All because the this film's team only cared about the money they would bank. And yet the people at Disney still wonder why it was not nominated during the award season. You get what you put out. And what they put out was a cash cow. They got exactly what was coming to them.

Silver54, I didn't say it made for the best experience. But they still could have cast Emma over an unknown with no box office draw. They should have just dubbed a real singer. It used to be done all the time. Here is an article about it: timesofsandiego.com/arts/2017/03/26/when-actors-cant-sing-beauty-the-beast-shows-value-of-dubbing/
@Silver54ful
@Silver54ful 6 жыл бұрын
I actually am familiar with that article. They even did this for Rebecca Ferguson who was cast in last year's other musical smash film The Greatest Showman. Knowing she could not sing so she was dubbed. And I will be blunt that even with this "Old Hollywood" business casting coming back around to this day and age. It does not soften me up to the idea at all. I remain loyal to break-through performance casting decisions. A person who does it all effortlessly. For some of the greatest talents are indeed the unknowns. It's time for both Hollywood and audiences alike to leave their big star attachments behind and learn to embrace the unknowns to see and hear their massive talents shine in all their glory. This takes us back to one of the most famous casting stories in history in which the full fledged talent was snubbed in casting of a big title but later to taking home that golden reward. That is of how Audrey Hepburn (while a brilliant actress and lovely singer for easy listening style ) got the role of Eliza in My Fair Lady. A musical role beyond her vocal range. The original Broadway actress of My Fair Lady Julie Andrews who would later become one of the most beloved musical theatre sopranos of all time was declared unfit to star in the film adaptation due to her lack of status to the movie audiences. So they called on Ms. Hepburn. While a force in the acting department no doubt. Her lack of skill in the soprano repertoire could not be overlooked. So bring in a singer to dub her over. Meanwhile Ms. Andrews is cast by Walt Disney (who did see her perform live in the musical Camelot) as the title character Mary Poppins. Having seen her live Mr.Disney recognized not only her astonishing vocal technique. He saw her charisma and intelligence as an actress who also had her share of dancing ability. He wanted the rest of the world to see it too. Being virtually unknown to cinema didn't hinder his desire to cast her as the leading lady. For the talent speaks for itself. Come award season. The race seemed close. Until word gets out Ms.Hepburn was dubbed. Ms.Andrews however proves she is every bit as magnificent as you would believe. No dubbing for her ever. Oscar nominations are announced. Julie Andrews is among the choices. Audrey Hepburn is not. Then the day of the Oscars arrives. None other then Julie Andrews is the big winner. Walt Disney took the leap of faith the creative team at My Fair Lady were to frightened to consider. That casting a person who has the ability to do it all in regards to performing was the right choice. To heck with lack of movie star status! Disney executives (or anyone who creates a musical on screen) need to go back and review how this has merit. Triple threat talents are surrounding them. Give them a chance and they will blow your mind. For their have been very few cases in which big movie stars who don't have any authentic musical theatre background have come out of a project to the other side they can be deemed a sincere triple threat on all fronts. That includes lack of autotune.

@Silver54ful
@Silver54ful 3 жыл бұрын
@@ki8743 Her eyes certainly display that "passive aggressive" expression throughout the course of this movie. It seemes to be her trademark when she's doing any film doesn't it? But actually with her real voice (not the autotuned doctored soundtrack Disney officially released) there wasn't any form of emotional undertones when she sang. I am using that VERY loosely. On any line of her character's numbers. She can't even convey anger or frustraion. What really occurred in the isloated vocal recording for that particular line you pointed out was her voice doing a warble. With her lack of vocal cord experience her own lungs were essentially breaking down since they could not handle the scale and stamina of this score. If you heard that all you would hear from her was vocal cord depletion. There were even times on the soundtrack when she literally gasped for air because it was too overwhelming. Even with how much they lowered the key for her. What you are hearing from the official sountrack recording with all of the autotune in place is to keep the melody even keel. So the sound waves comes across as "passive aggressive" by accident as the editors were covering up of her technical mistakes. From raspy to shrill to flat to sharp to plain breathless. Emotion simply didn't exist because she doesn't have a healthy set of pipes to execute musicality.

I have been actively searching to come across it again just so I can provide the link on this video (and quite a few others) so people finally can understand why musical theatre fans are livid with her choice of casting for a coveted theatre role. Granted I never expected it to become accessible. No doubt Disney has attempted to lock it up and throw away the key. But nothing can stay hidden for forever. I know it will not be easy to find but once something slips through the cracks. It is bound to re-appear in the most unexpected places. As for how her voice sounds on that clip. They literally removed all personality from Watson's voice. In O'Hara's version, you feel her frustration, her excitement, her happiness. You can hear her smile, rolls her eyes etc. When she sang "Oh isn't this amazing" you actually BELIEVE that she is AMAZED. You can hear the wonder in her voice. Her voice HAS personality. Watson sounds so bland, lifeless, and impersonal. The only good characters here were Laffu (?) and Gaston.

Now I am actually hearing people say a great singer they look up to is Emma Waston. My heart might as well have been stomped on and thrown in the trash! Is this what it has come to in the 21st century?! A person who has barely a one octave range and needs a computer program to keep her on pitch is being commended as a musical theatre vocalist? That's because Paige O'Hara (and the entire team behind the animated film) understand that singing is equal convergence of healthy pitch and emotional undertones. It's acting kicked up a difficult notch but making it seem effortless. As is the reason musical theatre is an art form. That is why when listening to Ms.O'Hara you hear and feel her muliti-dimensional delivery on top of her being on key solidly. Emma Waston didn't have any prior singing experience before being cast. Let alone any knowledge how take on an acrobatic musical theatre score which is the cream of the crop (next to opera) when it comes to singing. She and the Disney executives alike are both guilty in this matter. The reason she sounds "souless" is because her lungs are one bit short of giving out. I heard her voice on the isolated vocal recording before it was taken off YT. Depending on what line she does. She went sharp to raspy. Constantly! There wasn't any even flow on the melody because her vocal cords attempted to handle a professional theatre score raw. Just like if you don't keep your body in shape for dancing. You can't deliver an emotionally vibrant performance if your body is fatigued. The vocal cords are exactly the same. This is an enormous toll from a vocal stand point. She was under-qualified by far. The "robotic" sound you are hearing is the autotune. Ms.Waston and the creative team agreed on this because she would not allow a vocal dub to cover for the soundtrack.

@Silver54ful 3 жыл бұрын
@@EricCartman2024 More than happy to help when I can. The first thing above all else is to not expect immediate results. Singing is about repetition and reinforcement. So don't push it too hard. Second is remember that being hydrated and getting a good night's sleep are as much key componets in having your voice improve along with the exercise sessions. One of the first things I was taught is using the soft pallete. Just like when you yawn. There is an easier sense of flow. And never let the sound be projected from the nose. The projection should come from your diaphragm. A lot of the time people strain and sound nasally is because they sing from the base of the nose. Not healthy for your voice nor is it pleasent to listen to.

@beckyc8104 4 жыл бұрын
@Blair Bart II she definitely was. In some parts of the movie you can really hear the unnatural sound to it. I'm not hating on Emma, I'm blaming the filmmakers who made the decision. Because at the very least, there's definitely some kind of pitch corrector trying to smooth out the vocals. You can tell when there's autotune when the sounds are just too perfect, and it leads to a robotic twang. It's harder to spot now because we're all so used to hearing autotune because most singers will always have some kind of enhancement nowadays because production companies demand perfection with vocals.
@Silver54ful
@Silver54ful 4 жыл бұрын
@@beckyc8104 Don't bother with this one. Doesn't matter the evidence displayed. They just repeat the same phrases again and again as if on a loop in hopes you'll see things their way. But you and I (among several others here) know the truth. She was inarguably auto-tuned for the majority of this soundtrack. Granted not every phrase but there is a reason Disney did do so much of the computer enhancing. Her voice due to lack of training was painfully strained, thin and breathy. Constantly at that. Maybe she's a little smoother now. I use that term loosely. But at the time of this recording. She was not equipped to handle this score. Despite her saying she took "three months" of diligent lessons. When it came time to put in the work. Disney knew they were in trouble. She just didn't have any musicality to carry these numbers. But since she insisted she be the one to sing. Disney was trapped between a rock and a hard place. As soon as I find the isolated vocal recordings again. I'll give you the link. So many people here are under the wrong impression. Disney didn't ruin her voice with the auto-tune. It was the only way to make her sound as if she could carry the notes. She was a terrible singer and they needed to cover their backs. And since they didn't hire a true musical theatre artist to begin with. They were left to pick up the pieces. As for how "Most singers have some kind of enhancement these days because production companies demand perfection." If you research musical theatre and classically trained vocalists. You will find a treasure trove of talent who have never once been auto-tuned. They sing live with grace and pure emotion every single time to step up to a microphone. Be it on stage or in a studio. They are the real deal.

What I wouldn't have have given if it merely were "bland". Instead the real isolated vocal recording was such a multitude of egragious sounds, it's a miracle the editors were able to make it come across as dull one note melody. Don't get me wrong. I hear where you are coming from 100%. Anybody with proper sound detection can easily tell Ms.Waston is autotuned and therefore wasn't the least bit qualified for this coveted musical theatre role. (Hire theatre artists already Disney!!!!) Never the less, the official sountrack recording is very misleading. She's doesn't just lack emotional undertones. She lacks every aspect a true vocalist who takes on a legit theatre score. Then cranks it up by five notches to make one squirm from the pain she inflicts on the eardrums.

Anmarie Proctor Singing it during filming has absolutely nothing to do with autotune or no autotune. Les Mis was the only movie musical with this much exposure to do the singing live on set. The typical thing to do is to record it first and then shoot on set. Even Grace Moore (a well known opera singer in the early 1930s) did this too, as well as Bing Crosby and Jeanette MacDonald and Judy Garland. All of them very capable singers and actors. It's about skill. Recording before shooting just ensures quality recordings of quality performances regardless of the actions on set or where the boom mic is.

Miss H - Exactly! Amy Adams (who has had some singing experience in her past but is not what you would title a trained vocalist) did an excellent job with it when she starred in Disney's 2007 hit Enchanted. We can also point out Nicole Kidman from Moulin Rouge (2001) and Emmy Rossum from The Phantom of the Opera (2004) as examples who did splendid performances. While each of these women are not conservatory trained when it comes to singing. Well before auditioning they buckled down on nailing the basics. Working with a vocal coach who was critical on their performance preparation as they practiced. Not only in the necessities of technique. But how to color and phrase emotion into the score. Just as one would when speaking in dialogue sequences. By working with someone who told them the truth and they themselves being determined to bring out the inner life of the character when they sang. By the time the audition for the role came around. They were ready. And it shows in their films! No computer work was touched up on them. If you ever needed evidence for it. You can just type into KZfaq to look at their performances while singing live. Would a person such as myself be able to tell they are not the purest nor most powerful singers due to lack of life long training? Yes, but they have lovely instruments none the less. Ones that worked exceedingly hard to demonstrate they are capable of tackling triple threat designed roles meant for people far more experienced then they are. And they were successful most definitely! :)

Silver54ful Amy Adams did live performances of Into the Woods as the Baker's Wife in New York. While I'm not a fan of Rossum in Phantom, I think what she's been singing lately is a much better fit for her and a great listen (latest album is called Sentimental Journey). I have lots of problems with Phantom (2004) in general, mostly due to direction and a bunch of non-singers. That said, Driver had major guts when she insisted on being dubbed because she's a pop/jazz singer and not an opera singer. As a result, they got Margaret Preece (who had done the role in the West End) to dub her and that joint performance was fantastic.

Miss H - I really wish I could have been present at one of those performances of Into Woods. I love Ms.Adams! Greatly look forward to her next vocal venture. While we will have to agree to disagree about Emmy in The Phantom of the Opera film. (I understand why many phans are not fond of it. I to conceed that the many dazzling sopranos who played Christine on stage can outshine Ms.Rossum any day of the week) We can most certainly agree about her album Sentimental Journey. Her voice is stirring. Margaret Preece remains one of my all time favorite Coloratura sopranos! She is a jewel. :)

Silver54ful You, my friend are a good example of being rounded in this regard. So many become so devoted to a a very small number of performers in a role (usually one or two) and cannot be the slightest bit objective about what they hear. You, on the other hand, very much like a particular performance, but acknowledge the shortcomings in it. This, ladies and gentlemen, is a rounded person. :)

You're right. In the isloated vocal recording. She does everything a vocal instructor advises a singer not to do. Projecting the sound through her nose rather then her abdomen was just one of the many things she did to make it sound as unpleasent and emotionally hollow as possible.

What a concept. Hire actors who can’t sing to play characters who sing...It’s GENIUS!

Emma Watson sounds more like a Vocaloid than most of the Vocaloid gang's tunings.
