Thanks for this! Assuming a baby under 3 months is considered newborn? Also are you able to give us tips to link sleep cycles for babies 3+ months? I’m petrified of the 4 months sleep regression. My bubs is 15 weeks old and I don’t know how to link his sleep cycles

I have 1yo daughter .. she is allways at 19:00-20:00 in the Bett . But , she wakes up every night about 1:00 or 2:00 and she is restless and won't sleep and I have to hold her in my hands about half hour or one hour . Sometimes few times in the night and I am very tired .. where ist my mistake ? She is not hungry , because I give to her every time a milk , she eat that but ist not better . Whats wrong ? She needs to go so early in Bett because she wakes up every day at 06:00 or 07:00 . She needs to go in Kindergarten . And sleep just one time , at 12:00 .

In my neuroscience class we were taught that white noise isn't good for the brain, especially at night. During the day it may be ok but definitely not at night because the brain needs quiet to clear it's clutter and white noise blocks this process.

First time mama here with a 2 week old, and I just wanted to say that all of you are doing great and the fact that you’re watching this video proves that! Try everything you can until something works, and if that changes, just try something else until that works too! PLEASE remember to take care of YOUR needs as often as possible. If there are dishes in the sink but you can sneak in a 20 minute nap while your baby sleeps, please do that! Take a hot shower, massage your feet, lay in silence, listen to music… come back to a place of neutrality and peace within yourself. We will never get these moments back and the next chapters will always have their adjustments. Trust yourself and great advice like this video. You are doing great!!

Thanks for the video, unfortunately some of the these points including the ‘tiredness’ phase’ or tiredness signs stuff doesn’t really resolve a lot of the issues we’re facing. They also seem to conflict with advice around babies hungry signs. We recognise yawns, playing with ears and rubbing eyes etc as signs of tiredness, that and being super quiet and disinterested, but as soon as we put him down and within 2-5 mins later he’s fussy again. We let him wriggle around in the hope he’ll drop off to sleep, but he gets himself into such a tizzy. The cycle repeats

I guess I'm doing something right. My 15 week old has been sleeping through the night, for the most part. We get ready and are in bed around 10:30. The earliest he wakes is 6 but often doesn't wake until 7 or 8. He has very clear sleep cues and he goes for naps in his crib, in close to the same environment as at night. It's very dark and we have an air purifier that makes great white noise. I got very lucky, he's such a good sleeper!

Do you have to wake up your baby during the night to feed him/her ?
@jennibee2307
@jennibee2307 2 жыл бұрын
@@larissatorres8624 I let him sleep. He eats right before we go to sleep and then when he wakes up. Today he woke up at 6:30. He's a super happy baby so a lot of the time he'll let out a cute little scream like I'm ready for food now Mom! He eats every 2.5 - 3 hours during the day. When he was a newborn he would wake up every few hours but it got longer and longer as he got older. I double checked with the pediatrician at his last appointment and he said as long as he's gaining weight, let him sleep. 😀

Agree with all of these except the last one. My baby consistently has gone to bed for the night between 6.30 and 7.30 and wakes up for the day around 7 the next morning. She is 6weeks

I needed this! My baby would here alot even dyring feeding and it concerned me but thrn i realized she would only do it when she was half asleep and tired. The rem sleep makes more sense to me mow thank you ! I was too quick to pick up my baby too and then wondered why she'd only nap for 10-20 mins and sleep for 2-3.5 hrs. Hopefully ill have a happier more well rested baby after this. Also is there anything you can share aout babies sleeping with their eyes partially open ? Im sure its because shes tired too but iñl be mich better about letting her sleep now that i know all of this ! Thank you for debunking those old wives tales too

I definitely needed the tip about picking baby up too soon. Approximately how long should I wait to see if baby will go back to sleep?

This was helpful, we’re going to try this starting tonight for our 7 week old. Out of those 6 we were doing 3 of those things. 😮

When it comes to putting them early to bedtime- my baby is now 4 months old, and he's starting to have longer afternoon nap, usually between 2/3pm to 5pm. Then he's awake till 8pm when he starts to feel tired and ready to go to sleep after taking a shower. Then I put him to bedtime sleep and he wakes up after 10min or an hour and is ready to play. I would normally respond to him with turning the lights on and play with him until he is really ready to fall asleep again, that can be at 10pm or 11. But last two nights I didn't turn the lights on, it was dark in the room and I started to sing him lullabies for him to fall back to sleep. First night he didn't like it, was kind of refusing it, kicking arms and legs and I felt sad like I was doing something against his will. But last night I kinda wanted to repeat that and see if there might be some changes, he was again ready to play but I sang to him again and he was calm in my hands, sometimes looking around the room and fell back to sleep. What should I do, should I respond to his readiness to play and turn the lights on, or keep up with this kinda 'teaching him when is the time to go to bedtime' routine? I would appreciate your advice very much❤

Thank you thank you thank for this video. I have a two week old and we are still learning the cues and techniques to make my little one comfortable and calm. He sleeps very well - except overnight. The worst is being exhausted at 3:00 AM and no matter what I do he won’t go to sleep

Thank you so much for this video and all of your other content! Do you have additional layers of tips for babies struggling with reflux after feeds/during sleep? ❤

We have reflux problem with our little one (4 weeks old). You can tilt her crib or elevate the mattress by 2-3 inches. Some of the cribs can be adjusted else put a paper folder (ordner) under mattress. That helped our baby. Also if you breast feed then please watch what you eat, as this also causes baby to have reflux issues. I hope that helps. And for better sleep - you can try white noise, my baby like this car noise kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hLWllsd2ssjMeZ8.htmlsi=sRP5FipP8IL0m66X
