Notes from the video: - Emma's first hint was failed due to using !hint_location instead of !hint. !hint_location is intended to know the item in a specific location check, while !hint gives you the location where a specific item is. I imagine Emma was trying to, instead, hint for a region (the wizard tower), which is not the same as a location in Archipelago terminology. I'm glad to announce that, recently, I have added an in-game method to get information about entrances and regions that are randomized. It does not go through the hint system, it's a separate thing entirely! The footage from this video was probably recorded before that feature was introduced, so it couldn't get showcased. - I don't know if you have unlocked Livin' off the land yet, but when you do, I recommend watching it. It plays 4 times a week (from 2, in vanilla). The extra days have brand new episodes that are all centered around some archipelago game mechanic. Either things that are added, or changed, from vanilla, will get taught on the channel. One example is that the Gold Clock has a new usage, so I recommend you build it :) - I gotta say, having all your missing people live with each other was hilarious - The "strange" Archipelago icon you've noticed a few times is a meme fanart someone has done in the Archipelago Discord. It is a mash-up between the AP logo, and the "pleading" emoji. It is used to symbolize "This check has been hinted by someone and is probably important". It is much less useful when playing alone, as you are obviously the one who hinted it. But that's why it showed up from time to time. - You seem to have figured it out on your own, but yes, the Traveling Merchant Metal Detector adds slots to the traveling cart stock that roll random artifacts and minerals for the museum. It is biased towards undonated items, which is probably why you managed to finish the museum so quickly. It is intended to mitigate the RNG factor of looking for a specific donation near the end. - The babies are items, yes, and they are named after Archipelago devs and Content Creators who showcased the mod, includin Emma herself! There are equivalent checks for doing the deed with your spouse. - The babies' gender and skin color is completely random. Their "Cute" or "Ugly" differentiator is also random, for a total of 8 different babies from all 3 of these factors. Ugly vs Cute doesn't actually make any difference in game. It's a joke about the fact that all babies look the same but parents insist that theirs is cute. - The sprite randomizer is part of the mod. It is a scrapped feature. I have built this feature very early in development, but I am not happy how it turned out. Too many NPCs end up using animation frames that don't exist on their new sprites, so they turn into messy rectangles instead, which feels very unpolished. I was not able to come up with a good workaround, but the feature as-is can still be enjoyable to some people, so I left it in as a secret chat command. - I suggest you take a good look at the commands available in the !!help menu (Yes that is 2 exclamation marks. !help for server commands, like !hint, and !!help for client commands, like !!unstuck). One of these will probably save your sanity reallly soon... - Your randomized playthrough is really nearing its end right now. You are doing the perfection goal, but a lot of the perfection goals are not really randomized in this version (ex: monster slayer, cooking, etc). I feel a little bad about this, as that means the end game will feel kind of vanilla. I'm happy to announce that the upcoming version 5 of the mod randomizes all these features though, leading to a much more enjoyable randomized perfection for players like you. After this run, if you wish to play 5.x.x, even if it isn't released yet, you absolutely can. Just hit me up on Discord so I can help you set it up, as pre-release is harder to set up than normal, the website can't help you for it.

Yeah, you’re not able to catch the Legendary Fish with the Extended Family quest active, that’s why you hooked the Glacierfish after you didn’t have the quest anymore

I hear the best tip for completing Junimo Cart is playing one level perfectly a day and resetting the day of you lose. I mean it’s going to be a hassle since the saloon is so far away, but it might jut guarantee that you’ll have the most lives possible when getting to those last levels. I watched some guides and apparently if you get all the coins and fruits in level one, you get an easy bonus level that you can farm for lives. If you make it past ice level in under 60 seconds, you skip the boss. I never made it past level two, so I’m not the best source of information on this, but I hope that helps. I don’t know. Cool series by the way!

I have a tip for Junimo kart! You have a WAY easier version of junimo kart, in the base game, you don’t get all those extra lives at the start, you only start with like 3 and have to build it up during the game, leaving you with only like, 8 lives. Junimo kart is torture, but with the extra lives you can do it!

I've finished Junimo Kart and you are already doing what I recommend: practice, practice, practice! The more you play the more you'll get the muscle memory for jumps and start to be able to not even really look at the kart. It is best to focus slightly ahead of the kart and plan your jumps further in advance, but you can only get to that point with practice! Good luck!

I'm also playing this randomizer, and funnily enough, I decided over the weekend Maru was going to be my marriage candidate as well! And I've beaten Junimo Kart a few times. Best tip I can give is practice makes perfect unfortunately. The timing on each level just takes some getting used to. But for the end, I would say, sometimes it pays to jump when you don't think you need to jump, if that makes sense?

During the fair you get an item for hitting max strength on the strength machine and during the feast of the winter star theres an item for listening to willys story. I started playing a randomizer and I can't find the saloon 😆 and I didn't have the shipping bin for so long, that when I finally got it there was over 200 mails waiting for me for just the shipsanity part alone. I also had my house in joja mart, which was fine, until the theatre went in there and I had to spend 1000 gold to even go home. Luckily my island farmhouse was at Willy's so that kinda worked out.

If you have so many speed bonuses, you could try turning off autorun and walk everywhere. That might help.
