it's not always like that. i grew up wearing dresses until i was like 6(?) and being called my (now) deadname happily. Now i go by Zach and identify 100% as male. it's all a matter of how he figured out his own identity. tbh i commend emmerdale for this storyline-- The spotlight is always on Trans women.
