Fitting that Cain was there at the end. That’s what she always wanted

Give Jeff Hordley his long overdue award for this. What an absolutely stunning performance. Underneath the bravado, Cain Dingle is just a wounded little boy who needs his mum.

For me and my family, When ITV told us that these programmes will have scenes that are distressing, we usually take the mick out of it. But tonight was distressing and in a good way. This whole storyline and everyone involved should get an award next year. Very well told, gave us a tale of two different worlds and some brilliant writing! Everyone involved should be proud of themselves for this 👏🏾👏🏾

This was so rough to watch, especially after I lost my mum a few months ago whilst I was fast asleep. I never got to tell her the things that Cain said and I'll always regret not being there to do so before she passed.

You just need to go to sleep now had me balling It’s beautiful how close faith and cain have gotten. This is all they both wanted. The blessing that came from faiths illness 🥺🥺. The fact that cain was able to let everything go from the past because he finally understood what his mum went through is beautiful. Now he can treasure and remember his mum with the beautiful memories and not the hatred he had once before. Now faith can leave knowing her son finally accepted and loved her wholeheartedly. Such a beautiful ending to their relationship.

Incredible acting from Sally Dexter and Jeff Hordley throughout this entire storyline. This scene was utterly heartbreaking. Faith is easily one of Emmerdales best characters. Faith has brought so much complexity, warmth and humour to the show. She will be one of the biggest losses the show has suffered in a long time. I also think Moira’s actress, Natalie Robb, deserves some credit as her scenes with Faith have been incredibly executed.

My father died late last spring and this whole scene just feels so realistic and unbearable to me. The worst part is the sound of their breathing, those last gasping breaths. So awful to listen to and yet, I am so glad they put them in the show. Death isn't pretty, but being there and bearing the hardest parts of it with our departing ones is a great and important act of love.
