I'm actually shocked at the negative comments. Her voice is very current - pixie pop like Ellie Goulding, Zara Larson, Daya, Tove Lo - and this was a good song to showcase that. I thought this was stronger than several others in the Top 10.

I would rather listen to a full album of Emmy's than any of the others that have been eliminated so far, and even over most of those still remaining in the top 10. It's pure and soothing. It tells a story. Some of the others would grate on my nerves. She's listenable.

Her voice is unique but Im starting to think Idol should stop these shows. They dont care anymore and didnt really search hard enough for talent or are not helping improve what talent they pushed forward. All these sound like auditions. Well Jayna's Whitney Houston was pretty solid.

Her tone is so special

i was glad to see that Emmy was vote through! I don't actually understand her insecurities and lack of confidence, since no one lived with more abuse violence than I did but I remained fearless never allowed anyone to put me down? I was happy to see judge work hard to get her outside of her head and push her to fake confidence until eventually it will become real. Emmy's talent is real it just means she has to believe in herself too.

I love Emmy but she allows the nerves get the best of her. I think one of two that were voted off should've been in her place. I can't see Emmy making it next week. I do love her but we're more than half way done with season, she has built confidence since day 1 but she's not ready for the big world yet. I do hope she gains more confidence in self though , becomes successful, make grandma even more proud for not giving up.

Emmy has a little girl’s voice (similar to Iris DeMent) and currently is limited in her vocal range. Mia Matthews is a better country singer because she can trill, warble, and lilt her notes 🎶 effortlessly! Mia is pure joy to listen to! The powerhouse singers on AI this season are Kiabrienne, Julia, and Abie! Kiabrienne stands out because she can belt as good as Julia and her low notes are better than McKenna’s raspy gravel. Kiabrienne also has a beautiful face and body, which makes her more “marketable.” Mia will go far in Nashville as will Tristan and Will. Jack is also a very talented singer/songwriter and will most likely be in the top 5. Abi Carter is very talented but cannot go up and down her vocal register as effortlessly as Kiabrienne and Julia. Abie also is doing two things simultaneously- playing a piano and singing. To sing and play an instrument perfectly and for a LIVE audience is very difficult thing to do. Abie needs to concentrate solely on singing to our perform Kiabrienne, Julia, and Mia!

Im not a fan of country, i know the name Loretta Lynn but couldnt tell u one song she sings and i have 2 favorites and neither one is Emmy BUT to say she cant sing is a lazy mans argument because she definitely can and actual vocal coaches and established vocalists agree. So just say that you like others better than her or just be honest and say what the reason is... but dont say because "she sucks," because thats just not "facts." Its all about the audience and whos voting and how often.

She's doing great, there's lots of pressure on this big of a show when you have all these people giving you advice that you don't want to insult, and you want to be thankful. At the same time, she essentially has to avoid her Grandma's music like the plague so people won't think she's trying to copy her or anything. It's not as easy as it looks, she's doing a great job dealing with it all. The resemblence, facially when she smiles to Loretta is unbelievable. She looks like her twin, it's amazing to see.
