That Dva being teleported ironically is actually worse than if they just respawned.

pretty sure it's the coord 0x 0y 0z of the map and the game just teleported the baby there

It could be that by ejecting from her Meka she got pushed outside the geometry of the map. The safe spot they have on that map is at the end of the first point. Flat, open and safe to be quickly thrown into.

I don't know what happened to you specifically, but I do know so general details about the bug. Whenever overwatch becomes uncertain about your coordinates it will default your placement to 0,0,0 on the map. Each map is different, some are under the map, others are in random spots, and some are on points. Anyways, my guess is your character model clipped with an area that normally doesn't allow movement and when you spawned from mech the game couldn't decide where to place you.

@@joereed8872 i havent investigated to far into this clip, but through my first assumptions and your info i assume it mightve been that chain railing on that bridge he was inside of when he activated ult? you can see it in one scene. Maybe someone can add onto this

I noticed that when D.Va triggered her ult, her mech also fell over. Maybe she managed to ult at the same exact moment that her mech broke, and the game just went "uhhhhhh what".

You can use your ult when your mech is broken but not when you're out of the mech.

The server tick rate last I checked is 65Hz. That teleport would happen a lot more often if it just required ulting and dying in the same 16ms window. My guess is the chain that was going through the mech model confused things.

@@vulpixie__ It's not even 0,0,0. I decided to go check Marblr's old tracer recall teleport video for the world origins, and Havana's is out of bounds, which isn't where D.Va ended up. This is some backup coordinate.

14:48 is a well known dva bug. I had it happen to me once, posted it to reddit, and it got deleted from the OW reddit for being so common. I used dva bomb on university and then got teleported to the skybox. It took me like 30 seconds to fall to my death. Fun times. Im honestly surprised it hasnt happened to emongg

It's fun being sneaky and moving the vehicle to point. And yes if your team doesn't kill them you can keep moving it no problem.

I love the long blackcaps. I almost never get them anymore, but I got a new one. After I know we’re going to lose a team fight near the cap, go invis, after everyone dies often people will still let their guard down, the moment they take one step away decloak for a quick and sneaky backcap.

My best guess for that dva bug is she somehow would've got stuck in terrain after demech, so the game compensated for it by sending her away from it; effectively catapulting her across the map to a "safe spot". 100% a bug tho. Send that to the devs ASAP lol.

The thing about that Soldier one near the end… in QP that’s unfortunately sometimes the only way to win. It works because the entire enemy team -if they notice - is like “oh shit we need to go defend point”, so they give up their position that’s been holding your team back, allowing your team to push in which ultimately helps you win.

I remember as symmetra I put turrets on the cart then just sit...I pushed it fron point 1 to the end and got a total of 20 kills with turrets alone

To my knowledge, the D.Va thing is some sort of bug that also happened to Kiriko when she first released. Something about the game not registering a key press or a very specifically timed interaction properly, thus it defaults the character spawn to the world origin as per the modeling program. It's likely that right by that car is the world origin for Havana. Or I could be wrong.

I know a lot of people have already talked about the DVA teleport being because of the origin point of the map, but I thinks it’s important to figure out WHY it happened in the first place. My theory is that it might be the chain. I think at the same moment DVA was supposed to be “ejected” from her mech, the chain was taking up the space where her player model was supposed to exist. Overwatch will always boot characters to the origin point if the character will be stuck in a wall, like we’ve all established already with the tracer/mei ice wall glitch that used to exist in OW1. So I think it is possibly the chain because when you slow the clip down, it looks like the chain gets launched up at the same time as baby dvas player model should appear

That D.Va bug has been in both versions of the game for a while. Guessing the game loses track of where the mech model is and where D.Va is supposed to spawn. Very rare, but it still happens.

3rd one reminds my of my plat lobby yesterday at 4am on busan when sombra capped the point and we all continued fighting her and her team at their spawn doors thinking were winning the round and boom its ticking 90% but for them needless to say a team this sleepy(best can describe us tbh) did not win the game nor that round

The TPing Dva is likely a result of the game getting confused here she should spawn out of mech (whether freak error, or thought an enemy or wall was blocking) and returned her to 0,0,0 world origin which im pretty sure is there on havana.

There have been a number of ways to teleport to 0,0,0 since the start of OW1. But in that dva clip, she doesn't teleport to 0,0,0.
