Canada here. This is truly beautiful. I have been married for almost 51 years and two days ago my husband brought home a dozen red roses for me. I said "what are we celebrating, honey?" and he said - "YOU". The couple in this video should sit down every year on their wedding anniversary and watch together. My DH and I dated for 2 1/2 wks(this was Sept.1973...he came home to be his brother's best man in his brother's wedding. I actually was hired in May of that year to be the person to run the entire department of a discount department store because all the other employees were invited to the wedding) prior to his going back to his base(Kaserne) in Germany. We were introduced by his brother, whom I worked with. We wrote DAILY letters and sent a 30 minute cassette tape every week (he would do one side, and I would then tape the other side) At first because we didn't know each other very well, both figured that we were going to wait until he got out of the service 18 months after we met. Of course the more the letters came, the more we just seemed to fall in love. He had given me a pre-engagement ring prior to leaving after the 2 1/2 weeks. Right after Christmas, he wrote a long letter that was sent with the weekly cassette tape and in that letter & tape, he wanted to know if I thought my parents would agree to our getting married sooner than planned. Of course, I knew my parents seen the way I was in love with this guy, something that had never happened before, so no, I just KNEW there wasn't going to be any issues from my parents at all. So, after hearing my tape about getting married, etc. He sent a cassette tape home to his parents and one to mine. Of course, his parents were apprehensive (but most of that was due to his brother having a failed marriage a few years prior). When the parents met, my dad made it clear that I was very level-headed etc. and of course we got the green light from both families. After that, I was surprised with an engagement ring on Valentine's Day and of course we started planning a wedding that was held in June of 1974. There were tears of course.....it was amazing to see the "soft" side of my new husband. When we went on our honeymoon I wore my wedding dress to our honeymoon destination(we stayed in a hotel for the first 2 days before we actually left for our actual destination. I think that cemented the idea that I had married a wonderful caring and compassionate man really came to light the day we left the hotel. I came out of the bathroom and my new DH hadn't put my wedding dress in my suitcase, no, he spread it out on the bed, and was looking at it, and as he fingered the lace, he turned to me with tears in his eyes and said "When I saw you coming down the aisle it was pure magic. I knew right then that I had made the best decision of my life the day I met you." We had a wonderful almost 29 yrs of marriage. Within a few years of being married my DH started having epileptic seizures that were difficult to control with medications. Our fairy tale ended when he died at 48 yrs old....simply because an ER doctor wouldn't listen to me. It's been almost 17 yrs, and I miss him every single day......people that say "Time heals"....are mistaken....."TIME HEALS"....nothing....when you love someone like we loved each other, the loss the heartache never goes away......ever. ************************************************************** This video brought it all back to the surface. Sure some days are better than others, but seeing that groom in this YT video.....well, there are men out there that TRULY know-how to love and be loved....his bride is one lucky gal...and he is one lucky guy! :)

I thought only women get excited during their wedding day, but as I have seen on this video where the groom cries seeing his future wife walk down the aisle, it has changed my perspective that not only is the bride or the groom alone excited, but the both of them are equally excited for their marriage.
