To hear all those Newcastle fans crying is better than if we had won 3-0. It happens for every team. We got robbed against Man United last minute penalty for Kimpembe hand, knockout stage. We got robbed against Barcelona 6-1. Two penalties against us and a miss red card for Mascherano. Same thing it happens to everyone. You have to live with it.

Just like Arteta said when Liverpool's perfectly legit goal against Spuds got ruled out. He soon changed his tune when he was on the wrong end of an awful VAR decision the following week. That's why I laughed at Arteta's ridiculous tears. All of a sudden it's "a disgrace" and "embarrassing" and he "feels sick." Didn't care when others were getting diddled.

@@LordHighness Arteta should have been more supportive/sympathetic to Liverpool’s position when saying ‘mistakes happen/ they are trying their best etc’. However, he also backed what they were trying to do and expressed an understanding of Liverpool’s sentiments. It wasn’t a purely binary reaction which some supporters seem to think it was - and something in turn used to now bash him after his Newcastle game reaction. He probably did not want to get into unnecessary controversy at the time hence those comments but in hindsight he should have been much firmer in rebuking the PGMOL. The Mirror/Standard: Arsenal boss Arteta says that he hopes Jurgen Klopp's side "get what they deserve" after Luis Diaz's goal was wrongly ruled out for offside because of a miscommunication between the officials. Asked if he has sympathy for Liverpool, Arteta replied: "For sure, you know at the end you want to get what you deserve. You want to minimise errors that you cannot control away from the work and the job that you do on a daily basis. "Everybody is trying to have a really clean and honest game but in the end you have to earn the right to win it and play in the conditions that the rules allow. When that doesn’t happen it’s extremely frustrating. "When they explain all the processes of what they’re trying to do it sounds really logical, but in the heat but when you’re talking about millimetres and interpretation of other things like the frames of the camera it’s very, very different. It’s a shame that it’s happening but at the moment we haven’t got the right answers I think."

First of all... Don't know why you're angry at Newcastle for "robbing" you when it was the ref that caused the controversy and gave the decision in Newcastle's favour. That's like someone breaking into your house and you blame the police for confirming it's a break in and then you get mad at the police. Besides, in the Newcastle Vs Arsenal game Arsenal were denied (potentially) a point that's all. Don't forget Arsenal created nothing in that game. In this game Newcastle were on course for 3 points and they were huge underdogs and they had it taken down to a point. Unjustly so. So don't be bitter and don't be a hypocrite. You can't cry about refs and then when they do it to someone else say you don't care and u celebrate it.

I'm honestly proud that English fans are disappointed about the referees decision but they tend to ignore what happened to Arsenal. Talking in a soft tone and passive aggressive manner, not making any comments about ref decisions in interviews doesn’t make any manager more adult than another. There is nothing wrong with standing up for your club and vocalising the frustration and anger of your club - this isn’t politics where you have to act like a statesman and tread on egg shells all the time. The managers that take this bs softly softly approach are part of the problem and reason why no pressure is ever put on refs/organisations to improve the standards and drive accountability for decision making and actions.

I feel the passion. Deflection from the body that the player didn't even know about. As much as I agree with the caller, its clear cut on the continent. Either the European cup handball decisions changes or the English game changes. It happens for every team. We got robbed against Man United last minute penalty for Kimpembe hand, knockout stage. We got robbed against Barcelona 6-1. Two penalties against us and a miss red card for Mascherano. Same thing it happens to everyone. You have to live with it.

I didn't think it was a penalty and it was an incredibly harsh decision but you get a few of those every season. So far this year we've had a fair rub of the green (things like the penalty down at Wolves, the first goal against Sheffield United that might've been a handball, Dan Burn's goal in the home game against PSG et cetera) so, sooner of later we were going to get a bad one - it's just a pity it happened to be twenty seconds from the end of this game rather than two minutes from the end down at Bournemouth when we'd already lost the game. I would caution Newcastle fans, however - we spent an entire week, not unreasonably, laughing at Arsenal fans ridiculously over-the-top reaction to their defeat at St James (and, indeed, that of the manager) so, if we do the same thing, we're asking for trouble. Unlike Senor Arteta, Eddie Howe acted like the pure class act he is last night and accepted a poor call with dignity as part of the game (whilst, no doubt internally seething). We should try to follow his lead (hard as that is), perhaps bite our tongues and then give Manchester United the rough end of our annoyance on Saturday. It's also worth considering that it's not very long ago we'd've thought beating PSG at home and drawing with them away was two of the greatest resulted anyone could possibly imagine in Newcastle's history. It shows how far we've come in a very short space of time that we can feel (genuinely) disappointed by the latter. Let's leave the whinging to self-entitled idiots like Arteta and Herr Klopp and their followers. We're better than that!
