Emotional Surprise For 24-Hour Daycare Owner Who Lost New Facility To Fire

Betty opened Angels of Essence Child Care Centre 22 years ago, and has since provided 24-hour care for more than 500 kids. Sadly, tragedy struck last summer when her new larger facility was lost to a fire. Kelly is moved by her story of perseverance, so she surprises Betty with $20,000 to help rebuild the facility.

Betty and team took my 9 year old daughter with Down Syndrome this summer. I had the most difficult time finding care for her. She took her in and gave me a renewed faith in people. She is truly a great person.

Before my son passed away 09.04.2022, 40 days before he was to turn 2, he went to a ppec. Medical daycare basically. They were so amazing to him. It felt like they were part of my village and I'm so thankful for them. Having someone in your corner and knowing your baby is safe is a relief I can't put to words

My grandma had a daycare. I hear what people charge nowadays a month and im so shocked. My grandma charged like $200. I remember her struggling to pay bills. I grew up helping at the daycare. I absolutely loved it. I also tested out of kindergarten and 1st grade when i went. Shows how much affordable daycares are needed

My mum does this. We called it family day care in Australia. She does drops offs and pick ups and looks after babies for working mums. She loves it.

I knew I was going to cry but by the end I was pure ugly crying with emotions. People like Betty don’t realize how important they are to so many people so it’s awesome they highlighted that fact. She definitely goes above and beyond out of love. Also, the fact that Kelly gave money herself vs a corporate sponsor was amazing. I’m sure she can easily afford it but just the action of doing so. I hope many more donations roll in for Betty to realize all her dreams.

God Bless this women. Lord knows how much my husband and I could have benefited from a daycare like hers. We had to rearrange our whole lives & careers just to make sure our children where properly cared for while we worked.
