"Its not charity its compassion" I didnt want my sister to help pay for some of my surgery bc it felt like a charity. She tried to explain to me why she wants to help but this phrase kind of made it click.

Having lived on the streets at different times of my life, I have always said that I have met a better quality of people there than in the boardrooms of multi-million dollar companies. Yes, there are bad people everywhere, but a lot of people are less than one paycheck away from being homeless, it does not mean that they are bad people. Life just hit them when they were down. Many times if you have no food or money to spare but you have a smile and a few kind words it can go a long ways to putting hope back into their lives. Thank you for sharing this story Kelly and thank this family for seeing the man and not the situation. I am not much of a person to know names or to hang onto star worship, so I am sorry if I do not know the name of the lovely young lady who spoke such kind words, but thank you for showing your heart. Too often people hide behind a mask and you just let yours go and gave an honest heartfelt response. To the teen with the birthday, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Keep your heart on the same track, God has a special place for you in heaven. Hugs from an old Canuck cowboy to all.

Lost my wallet in a gas station bathroom in a small town in Texas. When I got to my house, I realized it was gone and called the gas station. They said yes they had found it and was holding on to it. They mailed it to me and every dollar was still there. There are still good people in this world.

People like them still exists? Wowwww...

I found a wallet once. I had found the guy on FB sent him a message and called the church he worked for - he was a youth minister. Now the wallet had been in my car for about 4 weeks now I ran into his mom by chance at a local event . Long story short they acted like I stole it or his identity. They wanted my name address phone number- at first I thought it was just to call or send a thank you note but never got one so I guess not

Poor mañ! I pray they continue to help him.

It's easy to be generous when you have enough. What we should really respect is someone with nothing being honest and honorable when they could benefit from dishonesty

My dumb ass left my debt card in the ATM (granted I was at the bank) but either way left my card in the ATM, an I kid you not. Not about 20-30 min later (which is about normal on a sat at my bank) I get a random ass message from some random ass dude on Fb saying he had just found my card left in the ATM. I got it back at the end of the day. He honestly didn't have to even do that. I too found a debit card at a different ATM an my only thought was to put it in the night deposit drop area in an envelope that i wrote in sharpie the date time where I found it an just left it at that 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

i'd be careful with these stories. sometimes the "homeless" person is in on it. Not saying this was one but there have been similar cases like that.
