We have not used any swing arm but the limiting factor of the tire width is she chain and jack shaft. A swing arm will not resolve this.

It went live at 5:59. Sold 45 in 3 minutes and then the remaining controllers lingered for another hour roughly. Not sure what happened on your end but they went up.

One of our customers actually sent that to us! Not sure where it’s from.

Couple of main reasons. The first being is that it is simply more power than what is necessary. With more power at users fingertips comes more liability and technical support issues regardless of whether you have instructions, disclaimers, etc. We generally sell out of product in under 12 hours but if the demand for 4000s greatly decreases and there is only demand for 8000s then that may be a route we decide to go in. That being said, neither of us run the 8000 on our personal bikes or have any plans to unless a better motor could support it!

Definitely a solid option. The Vonkat is also purpose built and half the price of the EXT! Our main concern with the EXT is the adjustability stemming from the use of a hydraulic damper and how that shallows out the plunger and reduces adjustability for the preload.

@@emotobros travel is not less on the EXT it is 3.5” as well 🤷🏻‍♂️

@@northsandiegorc4248 Travel on a shock is defined as fully uncompressed to fully compressed with no bump stop. My understanding is that the bump stop method that EXT uses removes around 3/8" of travel compared to a typical rubber bump stop. Is that not correct?

@@emotobros That is definitely incorrect. The Hydraulic Bottom out Circuit on the EXT will actually allow for the shock to get to the true travel compared to a shock using a rubber bumper.

@@mixmastamikal my last comment certainly was unclear. The hydraulic damper does remove travel. That being said, the EXT does still have 3.5" of travel, however, without the hydraulic bump stop it would have even more assuming nothing else changes and a typical rubber bumper and dust seal were used. By adding a hydraulic bump stop you are effectively reducing the size of the piston rod guide. Due to this they had to make the size of the hollow shaft bigger in diameter to compensate for the lack of rigidity this would cause. This is suggestive of their reasoning for not wanting customer to add more than a two turns of preload so that the shaft assembly isn't overly stressed stemming from the shawllowness.

Vonkat has made changes to address this complaint. Look out for our follow up on updated prototype

I passed on the sls spring, used the 550 dmn spring Luna offered for awhile and it has proven the correct choice for my 175 LB. frame. I ride 100+ days a year as I work at a motorcycle rec area and would NEVER choose an unproven shock and you don't even know if rebuild kits are easily available. Terrible review, guys. Still love ya tho.

The EBMX shock has the incorrect stroke length and requires an adapting linkage that changes the leverage ratio. First thoughts on paper are not pleasing enough to purchase for testing but we would be more than happy to try it out and give our thoughts if it were sent to us👍🏼

An important point for sure. That being said, you’d have to abuse them pretty bad to need to use the warranty. Bike shops will still service them assuming you take them in separate from the bike.
