Great review. Mine are supposed to arrive tomorrow. I got the Final Version in the Launch Edition. It was the only version in stock. I've never listened to an IEM priced over 1,600. I hope I'm in for a treat. I just wish they came with microfiber pouches.

Congrats and thank you!! I believe you will love them. They are very tip dependent so make sure to get the proper fit or they will not sound right. In my opinion having tried a lot of tips, the type e that come with them are the best. YMMV. I did love that about the titans especially since the ravens have such beautiful face plates. I have owned them for six months now and have listened to pretty much all the totl’s. Still really special to me. The only one I need to spend more time with is the Novus and I would only get it to compliment the Raven.

I assume you don't like them since you haven't posted any follow up. Next time do some research before you buy. Or go try them first. You only have you to blame.

@@Enigmafotos They came, I saw, they conquered my ears. I have never heard music sound this good, everything I throw at it is amazing. Let the wife try them, she hauled ass and wouldn't let me have them back for 2 hours....I now have a distraction for wife aggro, outstanding!

I see the tuning is very similar to my Thieaudio Hype 4 which a very good all rounder I was gonna upgrade to Monarch MK3 but you convinced me with Empire Ears Raven 😂

I should feel terrible but I don’t lmao. The Monarch are terrific. And if I don’t listen to the Raven first, they rock. The Raven for me is just so much better. And the monarch is amazing. That being said, congrats!! 🤣🤣

@@Enigmafotosjust got the monarch MK3 n really enjoying em so far. It’s hard to imagine the raven being even better.. how do the mids and treble compare between the two? Would you say the ravens technical performance is twice as good as the MM3 (without considering price)? Lastly, thanks for the review👍

Excellent review! I've listened to this in Canjam as well and found it to be pretty unique. By the way, you seem to have mislabeled the electrostatic tweeters at 5:54. They are the 4 units at the back connected to its small energizer unit.

Wow, you've 90% sold me on these. I was vacillating between Empyrean or Empyrean II, and then _this_ pops up. I especially love the idea of their bone conduction... I appreciate that your test suite includes some older pop cuts like Braxton and Collins, rather than being all-in about "audiophile music" only. And you said "If you have any questions, ask!" so I'm gonna ask, but if you're busy then please don't mind me: There's a track called Out of Love, by a band called Two Friends; would you give it a sample and tell me how the Raven treats it? Thanks!

Thank you so much! I’m planning to actually get the Empyrean II eventually so I can have one headphone and one IEM and be done with the chase personally haha. Even though the “audiophile” music is great, I feel like it is always best to test with what you love and since I’m almost 50 🤣🤣 Toni and Phil were rocking back then haha. I got you. I listened to it and they sound really good. Dance and edm are so good with these. Heck everything is but especially that. Have a great weekend!

They are incredibly fun, no need to have a golden ear or be an "audiophile". The bone conduction is legit. Only negative is the nozzle is huge and the ear canals are going to be sore. Get tips a size smaller than you are used to, they come with Final E's SS - LL, so you should be good.

Agree 100%. Your comments is how I feel about my set. These and the Fatfreq Grand Maestro. It's such a subjective hobbie though. 🙂

How would you compare the GM and the Raven?

Raven out of the shoot has amazing tuning for me. GM you can tinker with the sound which is pretty neat. Both great for different reasons.

@@michaelp.3485 For me the Raven is much more resolved and wider, higher and deeper. Detail is fantastic particularly in the mid range. Vocals are so present compared to the GM's. The bass is just so natural. Being a ex-drummer I love a nice bass kick but I want it to be natural not bloated. The Raven's have this beautiful, effortless presentation to capture this for me. I never have to eq them, ever. Just my thoughts.

Raven has a more spacious and cavernous sound, is more holographic and has more / accentuated bass. The BCD really works its magic on the holography and imaging which the Odin can't match but Odin still holds the crown in terms of that pristine sound and id say it is slightly more detailed (may be due to the differences in FR). Both are more complementary than anything, Odin being the more analytical, Raven being more of an 'experience'.
