I have a pair for 3 years now and they have been abused. By that I mean I'm very clumsy and I've dropped players yanking the headphones right out of the jack, and also where the wires split in to a "Y" they sometimes get caught on the little drawer knob of my desktop, yanking the cables hard. They've been dropped many times too and rolled over on them in my sleep. So they've take a lot of punishment. With in ear buds I was getting between 6-months to a year before I killed them. These are still going! I have a much more expensive of headphones for serious music listening (that get treat more delicately) but these are my "goto" for general use on the computer (wearing them right now), they're light and comfy and sound isn't audiophile but its far from bad. I actually prefer the sound to expensive Beats which are uncomfortable and have silly bass. I found some expensive Beats Studio Pro someone had dropped in the street recently (not sure how, maybe fell from their backpack?), hated them and gave them away to a family member.

hello again ☺️ nice review, I'm very pleased to hear that they have adjusted especially the highs to make everything more fluid, I know it's a bit of a "wrong" comparison for the price, but looking at the graph they seem very similar.... how do you compare them to the mest mk2?i saw the video "are mest mk2 relevant in 2024?" I now own the MEST MK2 but sometimes with some genres/singers the sibilants, s or t, can be tiring and I would be happy to hear an opinion from those who have tried both😊😊

Hey! Thank you. So I love the Mest and I had the same issues. I had the Ibasso dx320 and I added the amp14 which has tubes. Completely tamed the Mest and made me fall in love with it more. Warmer sources or tubes will get rid of it. Sounded so awesome that way. The Noir will give you all of that but will lack the space the bone conducting adds on the Mest.

Would you say the 109 Pro sounds a bit like a Grado if you've ever heard one? Like the SR80X? I've heard 109 Pro compared to "older grados" and I like older Grado sound so wondering if these would be worth it for me. But I also hear they're V signature so I really still don't know what they sound like

I have not heard the Grados but are on my list. The 109’s have great bass. Lovely mids and very nice treble. The bass and the treble are boosted but the mids aren’t. Not far behind though. The overall tuning makes anything you throw at it very fun and engaging.

Can i ask how you would compare the Dusk to the Project M and Pilgrim?

Project M has wonderful treble which I prominent. Not powerful bass. Pilgrim less so treble but has very good bass. Both do treble very well. Dusk I am sure can be equalized to be similar but maybe not as good.

@Enigmafotos ah, thanks, that seems consistent with the impression I've been getting from checking out all the reviews. Project M shines with clarity and treble. Pilgrim seems to be a safe version of Project M (more neutral and less treble), but standout bass. And I guess Dusk is just a solid generalist.

Great review. Mine are supposed to arrive tomorrow. I got the Final Version in the Launch Edition. It was the only version in stock. I've never listened to an IEM priced over 1,600. I hope I'm in for a treat. I just wish they came with microfiber pouches.

Congrats and thank you!! I believe you will love them. They are very tip dependent so make sure to get the proper fit or they will not sound right. In my opinion having tried a lot of tips, the type e that come with them are the best. YMMV. I did love that about the titans especially since the ravens have such beautiful face plates. I have owned them for six months now and have listened to pretty much all the totl’s. Still really special to me. The only one I need to spend more time with is the Novus and I would only get it to compliment the Raven.

Thank you! I am editing my dusk video now. Short answer is that the dusk can change the way they sound through dsp so the dusk can sound like them and it’s pretty darn close. The dusk is only better because let’s say you want more bass, it can do that with the dsp cable. Mega5est is on my list to purchase soon!

these are fantastic tires im currently about 50k into my set. all the hype is true. my other car i wanted to buy these for but they where not in stock i had to go with the weather peak so we will see how they compare

Depends on mood for me. Hype for all arounder. Project M for neutral bright. And pilgrim for bright and bassy.

Thanks for sharing. I love my VZR headset and just upgraded to the new pads for more gaming pleasure. Cooler and longer wearing. A great option for the stock headset and they comfortablyfit my elephant ears. I must admit I don't like the stock cable and have replaced it with a balanced Hart cable, no mic, but I use an arm/boommic on my desk instead. Enjoy your purchase.

So I sold my Modjo2 a few months ago so I didn’t pair it with that. That being said I think it should work well. It’s a Bright leaning iem so it is very good with acoustic guitar and voice.

I see the tuning is very similar to my Thieaudio Hype 4 which a very good all rounder I was gonna upgrade to Monarch MK3 but you convinced me with Empire Ears Raven 😂

1. I think I did a comparison in my mesk video. Detail resolution monarch. Soundstage and imaging mesk. Overall monarch but not by much. Just personal choice. Both awesome and would compliment each other. 2. I have both pilgrim and noir but have yet to order the mega 5. I saw a graph which showed them definitely noir like so just off that I would like them because the noir are awesome for me. 3. For sure. I have been formulating it in my head for months. My idea is that really tuning beats price. So the hype 4 is tuned so well it competes against and beats kilobuck iems that are tuned badly or maybe just not to my liking.

I'm a consumer looking to buy that's why we watch reviews , all the iem you mention I was interested in but have to buy one only , so I was hoping you have the balls to say which was your favorite out of the group you mentioned , atleast do a ranking or say why you love one more than the other and explain why , but you don't you keep it to vanilla, step it up and have the balls , just helping and want to see your channel grow..🙂
