Classed as a Superweapon by the Rebels, the Empire's Onager-Class Star Destroyer had the Rebellion very concerned.
This imperial ship was a unique design of Star Destroyer rarely seen in combat. It was one of the best imperial warships ever designed and rivaled the Death Star's technology.

Correct. Onagers are catapults and really effective if used correctly.

@@thecommandant2831 wasn't there a good story about them in the dacian war , a siege. ( trajan) desertion of how effective.

I mean, this isn't the first time the Empire tried to put a superweapon into and ISD. The Conqueror was an Imperial-I class Star Destroyer that was modified to carry a similar super-laser to the one that was used on the Death Star.

Another case of 200 of these or 1 Death Star. Rebels wouldn’t have lasted long with these around. Great vid👍

He only listed 5 KNOWN vessels. There were likely hundreds.

@@mattheweaton9111they became more used after yavin and would suppress uprisings they would not be used in at active rebel fleet zones they would be deployed to bombard the yavin base after the rebels escaped and would also be deployed to mon cala as well after the rebels took the mon cala fleet

@@mattheweaton9111Vader wanted the ship to help with hoth but none would arrive in time before the rebels could escape the disabling of the Tyrant forced Vader's hand

I would say this is less of a superweapon and more of a dreadnought/super star destroyer as it has a more functional use compared to superweapons. Superweapons are used for mass destruction and can’t really be used in conventional warfare whereas the onager class can be used in naval warfare in a limited capacity
