From an initial 2 oxen and a plough he bought, Joshua Mateka now has tractor and cultivates a total of 32 hectares of pigeon peas, soyabeans and maize. Besides cropping Joshua also keep a reasonable herd of cattle and goats. His has currently drilled a borehole and hope to engage in all year round agriculture production.

You are fortunate to have been able to purchase your 2 cows and your 6 bags of fertilizer for $150. You can't even purchase one cow for that amount in the US.

Why do you pull up the pigeon peas plants? My plants last 3 to 4 years so o dont have to replant every year. I do a small amount of new plants every year to replace any sick, dying or non producing plants.
