Indeed and even though that appear successful I was literally expecting the parents to demand money from OP. She was hoping one day her daughter would get better. Even if that was not possible, a parent's hope never dies. Seeing your child suffer is no more than living in hell. I'm so concerned about the OP too. The last story was so heartbreaking. While it's good to have siblings help out occasionally, it wasn't fair that the OP had the amount of responsibilities to the point where he had no life of his own. That should not have happened and the mother should have reached out for services and support from others for her daughter. The mother was so heartbroken and distraught and I wish she reached out for mental health support as she really needed it. It sounds like what the OP told her might have been the straw that broke the camels back for her emotionally. I hope the OP seeks counseling as he probably need it. Even though it wasn't the OP's fault, I'm sure he probably feel guilty in some way. This was a heavy loss that no one should have to go through. The father is the biggest scumbag and a coward to walk away from his family. For the last story, I can kind of share a similar experience but no one has died or been put into a home yet. The mother was obviously in denial and holding onto false hope for her daughter. She was willing to put her life on hold so she can attempt to see if there was some sort of treatment for her daughter, but couldn’t find one during the sixteen years. When OP finally snap and said that he had enough, the mother (not in a good state of mind) thought her son was finally done with her and his sister. This is probably when (I’m just guessing) the mother had lost all her moral support ( which was the op) and couldn’t handle anymore either. It’s quite sad and I really wish she saw the situation earlier in life and placed her in a proper facility for both her and op’s sake.

She needed major therapy from the get go. The second she started telling OP to take his sister along with him, she was intentionally trying to make his sister his responsibility instead of hers. She was trying to make her son fill his father's place, and stunting him socially and emotionally so that he would. All OP wanted to be was normal, have friends and his own life. I think it just really hit her when she realized he wasn't planning on being his sisters caretaker. When OP is gone, she knew all she'd have was his sister.

the frist story honestly was rather cute, i think he reaction was not that weird since she had never seen op before and was still very polite, sounds like a story op's kid will learn by memory sdjksjkdssd and for the story about the will, i think op is right to be angry about it, while his sister seem to be in a bad situation and i get why their parents want to leave her more, completely exlucing him sounds rather shitty like to me it's not really about the money or anything it's just the action of being completely cut out of your parents' will, parents that according to op he helped profusely compared to his sister

She only sounded polite to you because the narrator didn't do his usual "screeching Karen" when voicing her, lol, and that's because the story had a happy ending. Read it to yourself in the Karen voice and suddenly she sounds like a bitch, lol.

@@goombapizza6335 my brother in the flying spaghetti i don't know how ti tell you that 1: the tone of your voice alone can determine how polite you are being 2: if she were acting like that i can assure you they would have not ended up together and op's friend would have been mad, not grinning 3:the narrator clearly knew and read her exactly how she should have been read Literally anything becomes impolite when you use the screeching karen voice

Story 1: Glad things worked out for these two. Personally, I probably wouldn't have married the girl who tried to claim that she owned my store but hey maybe it's a fetish lmao Story 2: This is the mother-in-law's own fault. The wife has no reason to be mad at OP, her mother is the one who didn't honor their agreement, snuck into the house and took the stuff. Story 3: Bro this is so heartbreaking. Imagine working so hard your entire life to gain the approval of people who apparently don't even view you as family. OP, those pieces of garbage do not deserve you, they're cockroaches compared to you. Story 4: Of course OP would be mad if he had sacrifice himself for the sake of his disabled sister all the time. I'm sorry his life took such a tragic turn, but hopefully he's in a better situation now.

Last story is just downright sad. Honestly the mother was in denial as well too since she ditch a lot of money without thinking in OP at all, and try to lump the sister on him. I know it sounds jerk but... holy heck .... i won't blame OP at all for feel like that too. But also feel really bad for the mother and the sister, since all of this is product of a lot of things, included the dad been a a** too. Edit: after some updates, now i understand the father was also a victim here of the mother's mental illness too.

The guy in story 3, you are no way a jerk. It shows what a great person you are despite your parents. I’m totally shocked by parents like this and trust me I’ve been in contact with a few people in similar situations. God bless you and your family. I no way blame you for not contacting your parents. They are not fit to be parents. It just goes to show how great you turned out without their input and what a flake your sister is while being babied. 💖💖💖🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

The 1st story make me laugh after the OP said: "And i end up marry her" i was like "NO FREAKING WAY". That is the perfect and legit: "that's how i meet your mother" I mean i guess OP realize she didn't said it in a bad way since she didn't knew she has 2 bosses, and sometimes been committed to get rid of someone who looks shady is more important even if is truly the owner. "Better safe than sorry". And had confirmation of another person too.

Story 1, this why the owner should have taken the time to introduce himself to any staff he didn’t know. I once saw an older man coming out of an unused room behind our counter, then entering another one where the staff kept their personal belongings. I informed him that this area was a staff only area and offered to to lead him back out to the shop floor. He followed me out of the room before explaining who he was, he was the father of the store’s owners and had the store manager verify it. Later he approached me to tell me he liked how I had handled the situation.

The last story reminds me of my grandma, except she’s not dead my aunt is. My aunt and mother got into a car crash when they were younger. Leaving my mom with a broken jaw and leaving my aunt completely paralyzed. The doctors didn’t expect her to live more than a year more but my grandma helped her live a extra 17 years. in 2020 my aunt died of Covid ever since the car crash first happened my grandma has been a hoarder, and when my aunt died, she watches space out and would buy more stuff that she could either not use or stuff for us(me, and my two siblings) that we didn’t want. It’s so sad having my aunt gone and the story just reminded me of her my grandma comes over to my house a lot even when we told her not to come over anymore because she will bring stuff that we don’t need. Two people with disabled family members don’t Fricken do anything of the sort what this OP did hateing his sister, even though she meant something to him, at least .love your family, no matter what they do
