It’s very fitting to see Elena being a good choice against Morgana

Sinzar, I just want to say how thankful I am that you explain your thought process while you make these. I dont have wylk's card so I trailed you by a few percent through the whole fight. Listening to your approach on turn counts and cool down use for %health I was able to turn my own run into a successful clear. Thank you so much for your love of this game and your time invested in improving the community.

A couple observations / micro improvements : You don't want to spend more than one turn in Morgana's phase 2 (between 50% and 30% HP) otherwise she wipes you out with an AoE fixed attack. It's a bit tight on the damage, hence the need for optimisations when you start lacking certain equipments / EX levels ! Turn 1, Because this is a setup turn, and because the skill repeats itself twice (which so happens to be on the only turns when the boss takes full damage), you want to use Kaito's Crashing Wave to have that 88% break instead of 87%, it goes a long way. Turn 1, Sinzar called a woopsie on the usage of a provoke skill on Chow. This actually doesn't change anything to your defensive rotation, however, it does make Chow the provoker (duh), and Chow's counters filling the morale gauge should more than make up for the moral skill he thought he should have used instead, which can really make a difference. You could think the "Black Eye +4" accessory on Esther gives her Fairy Killer, it does not. If you have it, Dai's TMR is better. Six Realms Amulet is also a slight improvement. The one handed version of Mumyo Sword (Xenogear STMR) is better than Seared Ember on Elena.

The elenas are my fav chars along with akstar so its AMAZING seeing this much improvement from the intr materias. I love it

Looks like SElena's buffs were made with this fight in mind. The consequences of using LBs really eliminates a lot of our favorite DPS units. Could you even bring in NVA Elena with her morale chaining skills to go along with SElena? EDIT: Also NVA Elena's sword imperil is undispellable!

Dang I wasn't expecting that damage from Elena.

I finally was able to make my elena ex 3 today!!! and finally cleared my first LGD mode on this damn boss!! my kaito is only ex 1 so I beat it on turn 11 but I'm just glad I finally beat this and also get the rod, thank you so much for this video man you are AMAZING keep doing what you do man

Gumi did amazing by skye, Oliveira, and elena. Now if only they could treat the main cast with the same love

Finally beat this fight. Was quite close since I am lacking on clash gear although I equipped one of the rings for the 100 morale bonus which helped on my turn deficit. Use similar roles but drastically different gear. Chow was full 250 resist and Sylvie had alternative gear to obtain 100 provoke and evasive. Elena was a sword build at 8300 atk/mag. Everyone had some dark resist. Made heavy use of Sylvies sword imperil and finished at turn 10 just barely.

Looks like I might need to wait till I have higher EX on Chow. Did good down to 21%, which is much better than I did with any of my own strategies/teams. Thank you for taking the time to explain the fight so well.

I had to give up on this one for now. An attack gets through sometime just before 60% for me and hits my party, which is annoying but recoverable; usually end up losing quad cast on Reberta. But then my Chow always double dies at the sub-40% mark and he really shouldn't, he's bulked out better than yours. I was hoping to use that dumb rod in the CoW event, this event is like having two CoW at the same time and it's a bit daunting. At least this fight won't go away and I can come back later. Edit: GREAT NEWS, EVERYONE! After deciding to just go one more and putting swapping out Adamant with I Love Chocobos on Sylvie I decided to run it just one more time, because I think she was getting paralyzed last run when Chow got double killed. It was a nail-biter but after 23 turns and my morale getting pushed back almost to the point where she started stripping my buffs and status resists, I beat her.

Fight seems a little too bulky for something we need to do multiple times with different characters... Who also have to avoid using LBs...

I wish that the new skills also trigger the trust skills, nv Elena base form and yoshikiri are examples of units that don't have the best synergy with their own tmr/stmr, specially if you already cap percentages (atk/mag for elena, spr for yoshikiri) The first batch of global ex nv released before cow have this problem or have stmr with no plain stats and outdated basic stats, Ibara, eldrin and shui yui have this problem Also ling has mediocre tmr/stmr and louise armor has been powercreep for nv emperor armor, but if you build for non fire damage you are forced to use her stmr instead Also skye tmr/stmr can be unoptimal in bs form builded for lb damage if the enemy ins't a dragon or spirit, blocking you for using auron/tifa/cow accessory (85 less atk than tifa accessory in full tdh, more if you use the cow accessory with plain stats) or yuna/baran for lb dmg

Took me around 18 turns, at least I understood the mechanics 😁

SElena IA really helped her out of the bench. glad t osee clears that don't require LB spamming but then again we don't have many good non-LB dps.

This clear just isn't working for me. After turn 5 ( I fail to cross the 30% threshold) she nukes my party and takes out several units and then it just starts going down hill from there.

My Elena is only Ex+1, guess is chizuru time to shine, *cries in brave shift cooldown* Edit: Didn't work

I didn't have a can equip katana materia because I skipped Yshe's thing and realized if you got a shit ton of dark rain copies, you can use those for fairy killer+. I'm praying that this is good enough I can still do this.

I added wylk for a 6 man clear and I still can’t survive since Chow goes down twice and Sylvie doesn’t counter revive him

I tried it minus a little of the power of Elena and a few other things like a very weak reberta and kept dying. I’ll have to figure something else out

Oof, tfw you thought you had a EX3 SElena but apparently recall using others to get another SElena to EX2 for STMR and then never those for EX3. >_< I guess I should wait until I get her to EX3 since she seems super key for this fight.

sadly my elena isnt ex3 so i had to borrow a friends tsukiko instead but i got it cleared... now to figure out how to farm it for the other rewards

Why did you choose Anima? What abilities are you using on her?

Would several of guts items on Chow work like on Death Machine? Also you can get more dark resist on Reberta by taking some resist nodes on Diablos, should be able to get to 70% if that will help any.

Are you going to show farming guides for the lower tiers?

Shimmering Blade (FFX) has 170 attack and Spirit Killer + I Is 400 attack better than 75% spirit killer? Obviously equip Reberta with Golbez's Armor for the 50% dark resist.

Can anyone replace chow in this team?

Excellent guide but I don't have the dps unfortunately. I have all the units but she just starts wrecking me post 30% HP 😞 Chow keeps dying and I have to raise him with Sylvie which screws my mitigations. Ughhh I have this boss

Can she be cleared without all the CoW gear? I was an idiot and skipped getting them. Tried with 2 starlight Elenas and still died.

Almost worked with the EX2 version, but this stupid fight is a DPS check too. At about turn 18 she just started spamming MP drain and turbo filling her own morale. On top of that, . So friggin' dumb. I hate this stupid fight. The only EX3 I have is stupid friggin' Tulien because the game ordained it.

can i do it with a chow with less HP, i don't have dodge roll and also no enhancement on my medical staff

weirdly by coping that with a TDH SElena (don't have the glex card to copy your build) and Selena EX1 only... doesn't really work... it's like a third of your damage :/

I think the gravity attack is after 50% (I didn't see her use this at 56%). Maybe try to one-shot the boss from above the health threshold?

is there a list of morale filling vision cards? or is Paladin Sylvie's the only one?

I wish I could build this team, but currently my game is bugged so hard, that my last clash team always appears for this fight, so I literally can't build a team right now

Is it possible to clear switching out elena with Ester? I have Ex0 elena, cant do it... And i would be greateful if u added me as friend and put in Reberta with this dungeon in mind cause i dont have her, have only dragon ling Ex1 as fire imbuer. dont think i can manage. I dont know if i can even with your reberta manage with Ester EX3, Kaito EX3, Sylvie Ex3 and Chow Ex1 cause im missing most of your gear and all of the cards u used. My ID is 168,421,303.

Why didn't you use Starlight Elena in the BS form?

Not sure why my Elena does like 0 damage. I get maybe 2% from her and everybody chaining despite similar gear. The only difference in gear is my elena being ex2 vs ex3, but that shouldn't make me do less than 10% damage.

Only starlight that I have is ex+1 from her own banner :(

This fight is too glitchy...

I honestly have no way of doing this fight. spent 20 turns just barely getting to 10% before wipe (somehow) Seems those pay to win vision cards and ex3 elena are basically essential

I don't have a chow, so I tried to replace it with maeve who can tank just fine, however I can't push the morale past 120% and with my gear using this team I just can't get enough damage, only breaking 60% at turn 6 🥲
