In case, you didn't realize the fact ,that Xu been with the single, man mix, and woman mix in different groups He did all the runner as ball saver too. How can he not tried? How many of other can do the same as his age? So he is a real legend with no doubt. I heard he hurt his leg too. He deserve a stand up oblation.

Do you mean he was hurt @49:29? That would be poor luck. Perhaps, that was how he couldn't finish the match.

The crucial thing about any sport is that there’s always only one winner at the end - this is especially true in this sport in China, because while there are a LOT of athletes capable of winning an Olympics gold, only one can. Chinese Ping Pong players used to joke that it’s harder to win a national gold medal than to win Olympics.

Xu xin played superbly in this tournament, Hopefully FZD performs at the olympics as well

3-1, and 8-4. Xu Xin will be kicking himself about this one. He was tying Fan in knots till then. Once he is ahead and starts varying the spin on every ball he usually has the machines tearing their hair out!

Oh my goodness 🏓 Slow motion you can see how much incredible power they putring on their shots. Xu xin is my dude in 🏓the one i love to watch play

FZD is a true champion! He digged down hard in face of defeat at the 5th set. He is under tremendous pressure to perform with all the expectation on his shoulder and was noticible nervous.

Fzd's backhand is probably the best in the business and Xu Xin never avoided to favour it. Maybe he wanted to prove something? I don't know, but Imo you need deep strategy to win these kinds of matches not just technical ability.

At the end of the 4th game, Xu Xin had the match in his hands. Two minutes later, he fell and got injured. That very moment, his chances to win became evanescent.

@@eugeneteo9778 52:08 He fell because of an injury. Right thigh quadriceps and possibly adductor. He already had a problem there, judging by the bandages.

Yes. Faster blade is not a good choice in table tennis. Feelings is the key

Uphill battle for Xu Xin. You could clearly see that he was having a very hard time on this day, especially against FHZ. XX plays better against Ma Long, it's more his style I guess

@@pingsunday That Ma Long is really bad. He lost most of his warmup matches but when the titles are on the line, he will blow away everybody in both national/international tournaments. Sometimes, I wonder if he purposely lost in lesser events.

Great match, but what is so special with Liu Gouliang sitting in a special table the whole time this tournament, there are much more greater legend/coaches but he is treated like he is the best China has ever had..

擦网重开是因为擦网完全可以故意打，而擦边球目前还需要靠运气。等什么时候中国的奥运选手可以自由控制擦边球，你就可以看到取缔了。
