I want to share a little detail about this game that you may not have noticed. Malone often uses a classic serve combination when encountering key points. He will serve to the opponent's left half-length side TOPspin. Generally, players will return the ball to the longer diagonal line of the table in order to avoid mistakes, which is Malone's backhand. Then he just turned sideways and returned the ball with his forehand to score (just for example: double serve at 35:36. You can find more in this video or other games from Ma Long). But when Xu Xin was in a 10-10, he used his backhand to receive serve as a gamble (check out 39:37). That also surprised Malone. And the last point of the whole game also made Xu Xin bet right. Xu Xin was ready to use his backhand to receive the serve, even moved to the left before Malone had served the ball.1:15:17 If you also love table tennis, you will feel that the psychological game between these two top players was so exciting!

Xu Xin made so many efforts to improve the weakness of his backhand, that's the reason why he is most admirable player in my mind.

Xu xin is such an actor 😂😂😂 I think he has some psychological troubles that's why I don't like him he doesn't seem comfortable for me. Unlike Ma long and Fan zhendong and lin gayouang I love them they seem to be loyal to their game. I don't know just guess

Xu Xin is the most entertaining ping pong player, ever! That’s why people call him “people’s artist “ and he indeed is. Xu Xin plays so differently than others and stands out as an extremely talented and unique player. Psychological troubles? Do you really know what you are talking about ? As a player myself for 50 years I see Xu Xin as one of the most popular for this sport.
