Enjoying a beautiful Sunday morning with the emus, playing with a weasel ball and eating mealworms. Yum! They are about 7 months old. (10/8/17)

Looks like an egg with a baby emu coming out... no wonder they're confused & trying not to step on it. 😂❤

I love that little jump they do when the ball gets too close to their feet. It reminds me of those old classic cartoons, where you'd see a woman get frightened over mouse and she suddenly jumps up, lifting her skirts so she can run away and go stand on a chair lol. Also, call me crazy, but those mealworms look like a nice, crunchy snack... I wonder what they taste like? lol

they taste like whatever they eat so normally wood
@bumbledouche33232 жыл бұрын
@@bloodaonadeline8346 By that logic beef & lamb would taste like grass, since it's what they eat. In which case there'd be no point in eating the animals - just go straight for the grass. 🙄
@bloodaonadeline83462 жыл бұрын
@@bumbledouche3323 Well grass fed beef tastes different than corn fed. Even bee honey tastes different depending on what flower they gather the pollen from. Maybe instead of making the dumbest possible leap of logic investigate it for yourself because what I’m saying is common knowledge. It’s doesn’t mean it literally tastes like a block of wood but that you can taste what they ate also a cow is exponentially larger than a mealworm of course the flavor wouldn’t be as strong as it would in such a small creature.
@@bumbledouche3323 ok when you say r/whoosh it implies I didn’t get your joke but you rolled your eyes meaning you were being sarcastic

Have you ever tried a xylaphone? I started my chickens out with a couple seeds stuck to the bars and after that they loved playing it without the seeds. i wish I had a video at the time. It was fun!!

Do you ever attack you?
@lonibarrett Жыл бұрын
I rehomed the emus about a year ago. They never attacked but they would puff up and run at people. If they stood their ground, the emus would break off, so it amounted to a game of chicken. They loved me because I brought them treats and I scratched their necks.
