@@Caitiecat01 yes it helps to keep our hair moisturized! if we don’t oil it our scalps will be dry and itchy.

@@hettyc We use it to help seal in moisture for our hair, as a moisturizer for our hair, or to detangle our hair. It’s a must have for our hair types. We all have preferences on what kind of oil though.

@@hettyc it does the same thing as the oil your scalp produces. However, because our hair shafts have so many curls, kinks, and bends, the oil our scalps produce never has the chance to lubricate and moisturize our hair. This leads to the dryness we experience. So we have to make up for that by adding oil to our scalps.

Australian and virtuous 🌸 I learned something about caring from my own hair (white lady) from a black lady hair advice forum. I goggled dry frizzy hair my hair has a latent curl think that’s right and it was starting to get like a bunch of cotton wool on my head. The tips I got from the forum were moisturise moisturise moisturise and stop over washing my hair. Obvious but it had just never occurred to me. Hair is much better now got waves and soft hair.

I think she missed one when she was at 29, she stopped counting few sec at 28 and start again, passed one and passed a second braid and at the second she said 29 I think ? so maybe it's 155

As a mixed race woman in California, this is very sweet to see. This is such a way of life for us lol. By the time you grow up, the patience has been engrained lol. That's why it's so necessary to do your daughter's hair when she's little. Those are the breaking in years.😆
