Hey yall!
I hope you enjoy this scalp cleaning & oiling video I did on my sister's box braids. I also share a bit about our two favorite hair oils for growth and moisture. I really like trying new oils so comment some of your favs!
side note - I went a bit faster on some parts to add some un-predictableness to the sounds, but I promise I was still gentle. She was falling asleep :)

OMG this gave me so many tingles and a unique feeling of nostalgia. Growing up, I had a neighborhood friend named Jazzlyn who would always get her hair braided and I think oiled or cleaned like this. I remember just chillin on the porch with her in the summer, getting ice cream from the truck, and watching her get her braids in or cleaned or out, while I was playing with my tamagotchi 🤣 (This is like 9-12yrs old back in the 90s Im in my 30s now) listening to whatever her sister blasted on the boom box (like 702, SWV, TLC, and literally every other trio RnB girl group lol) Also gloves are one of my favorite triggers. Thanks for taking me down memory lane to better times 🥺

@@stardust2172 ok, well let me know when you drop an ASMR video of this quality :) Learning to speak softly, slowly, the motions you need to create certain sounds etc all takes time. You have to be able to make people feel safe and comfortable enough to relax, which means lighting and demeanour also play a part; these things also take time to learn. Loving the whispers and talk-through of what you're doing. I really like the chopsticks/scratching sounds and seeing afro-texture hair getting styled but much prefer videos with talking, really hope you do more

I have had a stress day and this was tingle crack so thank you for this! Also I braided my hair once more braids than this...smaller..took me forever (three hours) and I had to pull them out soon after because too much wrong way I think. I have learned corn braids, french braids, other hair styles but really hard for me to do things now...weird health issues...really upsetting me my hands are having trouble with things I loved doing...but I wish my hands felt great so I could dream the dream of having someone teach me how to do these braids. They were so neat...both literally and figuratively...I loved watching the essential oil being placed on the perfect lines and massaged in.

@@gentlesunsetASMR if you did these braids then I would say your awesome at doing braids. Thank you for calling me a trooper as that is needed so much right now. I took months when I was a kid learning from pictures in a book. I kept doing one thing wrong and then after months of not getting it right I gave up and followed the directions thinking they were wrong (the strand drop and pick up I think?) thinking no way it would work. It worked. The 3 hour small braids was just me experimenting. And now to French braid or corn braid takes forever as health issues and my hair is so long that halfway through I have to remember direction and pull over shoulder and think opposite so it goes in same direction...hahaha...I know that sounds nuts and is a lot but thank you again for this awesome video
