Hello, I have created an update for my program ,, but I have some problem, which is: when installing the new update, it deletes files from the old one. I don’t want to delete them so is there a solution to that..thank you

i keep getting a error: Checking for Updates - Invalid or missinf updates configuration file. The first line of the .INI file should be ";aiu;". Its possible that the content on the server does not match the updates configuration file URL

does the file (update.ini) URL load correctly in a web browser. If yes, please contact our team at support@advanceinstaller.com for more help. If not, it is a problem with the access to that file from your web server.

Hi I have the same error, I have trial version I have checked and: 1) updatesFile.txt on google drive is updated (dummy text was replaced by ";aiu;...[Update]...") and parameter URL= pointing to correct Demo App 2.0.0.exe in google drive 2) in c:/program files/Demo Company/Demo App/updater.ini link poiniting to correct updatesFile.txt in google drive, please help me.

@@MichaBurmer I have fixed the problem, the problem seems to be the dropbox file url was in the view mode, you see in the video the link ends with dl=0, it should be dl=1, i tried it and it worked for me.

Using google drive often leads to that problem trying Dropbox solves it normally Also do check all the URLs are pointing to intended files

What's the purpose of changing the zero to one in the URL?

Doesn't work for me keeps giving me an error about a .IN file needing "aiu" at the beginning..... :(

simply write ";aiu;" at the beginning of the dummy file solved the problem for me
