Painters trick for tape bleed. After you lay the tape, come back and apply light to moderate pressure using a flexible putty knife right along the edge that you want sealed. Works even with cheapest of tape.

Man that heat is no joke! Thats why I only do major work on my build in the fall winter and spring. From june-october its small projects only and thats only if they're absolutely necessary

You could always red or black fur the front of the enclosure. Home depot also sells wood half round trim that you can paint and put on the front of the port, it's easier than PVC, but not as big of a radius.

Take it easy with the subs when it's done, or at least wait until winter when it's cooler out. Pulling the subs again to recone one of the back subs will be a lot of work!

When you use frog tape you have to wipe it with a damp cloth. It makes the glue stick better. It says it on the back.

Best thing ive found for the epoxy is to make plugs for the holes with the scrap speaker cutouts

I've used hot glue and the plastic led clamps that holds the led strip in place with 1 small screw. Using these plastic clamps every 10-12 inches apart then using hot glue in-between the clamps. Never had an issue with them coming loose.

Cosmetic idea. Get you some black DS18 logo vinyl and attach it to the inside rear and side windows. The black paint is functional, but looks rough. Fully opaque, black window tint would look good, too. With vinyl you have more options for color and logos.

About the LED tail lights. I've had good luck with the Autozone Sylvania 1157 and 2057 Zevo. It has two tiny leds that fire forward into the reflector for a running light. Then two slightly larger leds firing forward for the brake/turn light. It's bright and with it firing forward into the reflector you get a large surface area when seen from behind. There is a very clear distinction between the running lights and the brake lights. Whichever kind you get, make sure it has separate LEDs for the running and the braking. The type that try to use one style led to do both and it dims it - those suck. You can't probably dim it enough. It's hard to tell when the brake lights come on. You could either install load resistors on the brake wires or swap in an electronic flasher. If you have cruise control, install the load resistors. The cruise circuit needs to see the resistance on the wires to work (in most vehicles). If no cruise control, the electronic flasher is way easier to swap out.

Personally, I use fiberglass the clear, on all of my boxes, pricey but using it inside and out, it really strengthens and seals it pretty good.. I don't know with your situation with the power and flex yall have 😂

I’m curious on a layer down flat wall keep what you need in a ported box for airspace and build it like a 6th but use 16 inches of port in the rear tuned to like 27 to see how it does? I seen a video of a build like this he had 6 subs 4 on the flat baffle and 2 behind the seats . It got down I think it was a 4 runner.

Why not do the back of the box resin like the baffle? Yeah you won't see all of it because the cmax and amps but it would look sick!

What gauge is the wire for the subs? Looks like some beefy speaker wire, looks like 8 guage
