It's a good thing they're taking care of these adorable and unfairly treated lemurs, they've been through enough BS as it is simply because of dumb legends and stuff.

We’re so excited....The Duke Lemer Center just reopened to the public and we’re planning on doing a private/behind the scenes tour. I hope that we’ll be able to see one of the Aye Ayes but overall just thrilled that we’ll be able to visit. Oddly, we didn’t see a birth announcement of little baby Sticks....I did see the announcement for Melissandra - I think that she was born back around August, 2020. I’ll have to recheck. Blessings!!

What is that finger! Here in Japan, there is a Aye-Aye song for kids, and everyone knows about this monkey, but most people don't know that they have that unique finger. I also wanted to know what it was like when it was a baby.

What I dont understand is that all these religious followers believe that all animals are gods creatures, so why aren't they protesting about humans destroying wildlife? & the destruction of the environment as its Gods Earth?
@Bhalforii
@Bhalforii 3 жыл бұрын
*Cough* Actually its christian dogma that, while all creatures are of god, all animals besides humans were put here to serve us. We are above them, gods chosen, and can exploit them as we wish. This reasoning, in some cultures, also justified the exploitation of other ethnicities if they were deemed to not be human. See for example the Belgian incursion into Congo. Many animals have also been exterminated on this premise like the indigneous wolf of Sweden. Yeah, religion is great isnt it.

@@NyanyiC Ferrets are domesticated, meaning for years people have own them as pets. It is completely legal (well, depending on your state) and is not detrimental to the animal whatsoever. www.google.com/amp/s/www.livescience.com/amp/54391-ferrets.html
