Thanks for tagging me! I did answer quite a few of these in my 2023 wrap up video (or something similar), but I’ll grab a few of these questions and answer them in an upcoming weekend WIP. Loved hearing your answers. And love how your dragon is looking ❤️☺️

Thank you for tagging me! I am going to reflect on some of these questions. Some are so hard to answer because I have no idea what I did this year. 🤣 It's nice to see your progress in 2023. I loved hearing about your first year in the coloring community.

Your coloring is lovely! Your page in Alien Worlds is amazing! I have been intimidated to color in Kerby's books as well. One of my goals this year is to color in his books more often. So far...not good. 😆 I looked at a few pics recently and then kept looking elsewhere. I am not good with backgrounds, so that is my biggest thing with his books. There is usually a lot of space and large areas for backgrounds. I feel the need to work with Inktense or Neocolor on his pages, which I am not good with. I am much better with the Inktense than Neocolor. I am ashamed to admit I purchased Neocolors several years ago and have only ever used them on pages I either never posted or to just practice. I am unsure what I am doing wrong with them. If it is my technique, the brush I am using, or my expectation of what it should look like? I usually avoid using them. I know if I don't at least try to practice I will never get any better -- but I am afraid of ruining my books. And like you say, it's just paper, but the perfectionist in me says otherwise. 😄 Thank you for sharing! 💖

Oh I totally understand where you are coming from! My advice would be to start with a colour along in one of Kerby’s books (My Colourful Country Life has loads to choose from). That way you can complete a page knowing how it will look without the fear of ‘messing up’. It might give you the confidence to do more after that. It’s a technique that’s worked well for me. Sometimes it’s just getting that first page in the book done. Good luck with it all and thanks so much for watching!

@JordyColours sorry about that I somehow missed it. look forward to you doing some color alongs! for 2024 my goal is to be braver, more creative with backgrounds. they terrify me at times lol!
