There's a good reason why Pakkoyan sacrificed herself for Vueko - they are lovers/partners in the manga ;) its not so obvious in the anime tho.

34:50 Don’t know how you interpreted the story, but Wazukyan is clearly not intended to be portrayed as an "evil" character, not to mention he is probably quite the opposite of "selfish", as it was his duty as the captain to keep the whole team alive and going, and that was the solution to achieve that. Having only complex and non-black-and-white characters (including Bondrewd) is exactly part of the charm of MiA. If you want a simplistic story where there are clear good guys vs. bad guys then you won’t find it in MiA. Also, Vueko wasn’t "punished" in any way. She was reunited with Irumyui, and she voluntarily stayed there instead of making up her mind on any sort of next step (she told Riko that the bonds are something that can be broken simply if there’s a will to do so).

They really should have included episode 61 of manga at the end of this season. I was also confused whether Faputa was gonna join them when I finished episode 60 of the manga. Showing the heartwarming scenes of them traveling together and Faputa enjoying Rico’s cooking would have been such a perfect ending or post-credit scene.

Such a great ending to the show! I’m always impressed and mildly concerned about how Riko reacts to these horrific events every episode 😂

I ugly cried when watching the scene between Vueko and Faputa 😭

This was such a great season, it made me feel so many mixed feelings: the village became its own place, with its own culture and people that were innocent, but Faputas anger cant be denied. Poor Vueko, at least she is free and with Iro.
