really like endeavour's arc. really like that one moment where he realizes how much he fucked it up and goes "I'm gonna buy you guys (his kids) a new house, so you don't need to live in this house with all the bad memories. It's gonna be closer to your mothers hospital so you can visit her more often." it was just so good. They don't just become a happy family, shit doesn't just work out. all that happens is that now he's trying his best to make things right.

Endeavour is a really good addition that makes the show. Going full Pokémon breeding to create stronger heirs is such an idea that seems ridiculously cruel and careless and yet so possible.

Endeavor, a name that implys growth and motivation. Endurance in face of the odds, fighting against your circumstance, and achieving your goals. All-Might, a name that implys the peak has already been achieved. He wrote his insecurities into his superhero name. What an oddly relatable quality.

I love the scene where his son (who has a scar on his face that he blames his father for) looks up at Endeavor (who just got a scar on the same side of his face fighting a villain) and say, "Nice scar," then goes calmly back to slurping his soba noodles.

Before watching, and knowing Endeavour's fondness for Pokémon breeding, I'm guessing you meant IV train. It's so funny looking it from this point of view, since technically some precise pkmn pairing also give the pkmn some special Egg moves: that's literally Endeavour 101 with his wife I never thought of this and I find it so funny, thank you for this title

It's amazing how the author managed to take a character you want to see fail, and make you wish otherwise. It's not black and white, but that's what makes characters feel real.

My friend once EV trained a Snorlax in attack and health it used belly drum it's opening move became confused and knocked itself out with the confusion hit which was a 40 power typeless move and it one shot itself...

just putting it out there, but todoroki deciding to use his fire powers wasn't as simple as deku shouting at him, the only reason he used it in that fight was due to the heat of the moment (pun intended), he was still hesitant to use his fire half for a while after that fight, losing the final round because he only used his ice against bakugo.

I think it's hilarious that the "lancer" trope has been replaced as the "vegeta" trope

Another fun fact for you all: In the wiki, Endeavours blood type is listed as AB. If you look up the wiki on his son, Shoto's blood type is O. This is biologically impossible, as a father with blood type AB will always result in their child having blood type A, B or AB, depending on the mothers blood type. This is a quirk (not superpower) of japanese tradition, believing that blood type has a relation to a persons personallity, which and is used here to show that Endeavour and Shoto are so different from eachother that Endeavour tecnically can't be Shoto's dad.

Endeavor has definitely fucked up hard in his family life. But as far as his hero career, this man is a fucking HERO. He puts so much work into saving people on every scale. It doesn't matter if it's a high level villain threatening to level a city and kill hundreds or if it's a purse snatcher. He gives his all in dealing with any injustice. But he's just so *focused* on trying to surpass All Might that I don't know if he's able to acknowledge how much he's accomplished and just how much he contributes to the people around him. And part of that I think gives him possibly even a depressive attitude. He's so frustrated and unhappy because he only sees that goal that he keeps failing to reach. I think if he were to just let it go he would be able to recognize his own accomplishments, be more at peace, and actually be an even greater hero than he already is.

I WILL LIKE AND COMMENT WHENEVER I DAMN WELL PLEASE. That aside, I haven't really watched HeroAca in years but from what I do remember of the series it's got a lot to love for how wacky and zany the plot gets while adhering well to the tried and true shonen growth arc. I remember crying my eyes out at that one bit in episode 2 I think where All Might tells Deku that he can be a hero because of how strongly that moment resonates with a lot of people I think (said moment was done better in manga IMO, with all the flashback panels framing Deku).

I've heard about MHA and knew it was really good, but I never set aside time to actually watch it. But after finishing this video, I started it, and now I'm absolutely hooked.

There's a lot of misconceptions surrounding endeavor and his story, a lot stemming from biased view of a kid who basically just experienced him after a crisis that broke him and another one even more biased who's clearly wrong in the head and who's story does not really line up with the flashbacks.

The point of todoroki eventually using the fire power is the fact that he's accepting the fact that it may be a quirk from his dad but he makes it his own and isn't becoming what his father wants him to be and that's what deku is yelling about in the tournament

They forget that All Might had to build himself before getting the quirk because it would kill him if he didn't. So yes he was given a quirk of great power, but he still had to train himself ( Endeavor was just as lucky in the sense he was born with such a destructive quirk that he had to train to make it so versatile ). Also if the man can change the weather with a single punch and send a monster flying with 300 you have to assume he also had to learn some restraint so that he wouldn't kill someone by accident. Also how do you complain that other super power series don't use powers in interesting ways, and then complain later about a character who uses both the powers given to him by his parents because only using one was more interesting for the story.
