I've been using a ender6 for about four months. If this is similar then the there is a pre-made location behind the printhead guard next to the hotend for a bltouch and a connector for it in the breakout board where you connect the stepper motors. All you need to do is put it in, connect is and upgrade the firmware. Basically plug and play. Creality releases a compiled original firmware with bltouch support. And Thanks for the spiral mode workaround, the ender 6 has this problem too and i had not figured out a way around it yet. I was looking in to compiling my own marlin firmware but this is much easier.

Thank you for the great review as always! I've had an Ender7 since the 1st month it was released. I really have no issue with it other than my print bed is maybe .5mm unlevel from edge to center to edge. That's the most annoying thing about it for me but I just increased the Brim Flow and always print with brims so I can dial in the (average offset for the) bed at the beginning of each (different) print. With over 400 prints on my Ender7 so far, with probably 50 fails on the first layer mostly because of the bed, I am overall happy with it and the print quality and speed is just amazing to me. I really enjoy playing with the models in 3D in the slicer and exploring all the settings, and I have an average of 50 overrides in my profiles and prints. :D It's been a lot of fun! Hack...Elmer's clear (glitter) glue seems perfect as additional bed adhesive by just spreading it on with An 8" drywall trowel. Once you have at least 2 layers of that on the bed it's super easy to remove at a 100ﾟC. Cheers :)

I had the same problem on the extruded with my new Ender 3 V2. I saved the print just because I happened to go check on it as the extruder knob fell off due to gear walking upwards.

Good informative video though I would have liked to have seen more video of the printer in action. It is not as expensive as I expected and is less pricey than a Prusa aside from the Prusa Mini. The reviews I saw were really low at less than 3 stars on Amazon. For the money though you would think it would come with dual lead screws and direct drive, all metal hot end, and Capricorn Boden tubing. As for putting the glass bed in the refrigerator, have you tried freeze spray such as is used when troubleshooting heat sensitive parts in electronics?

The Ender 7 and Ender 6 look very promising. I have to admit early reviews of the Ender 3 S1 also looks like a big leap forward.

Just like the Ender 5 Plus of which I have 2 you cant see the first layer going down but with the Ender 5 Plus you can lower the extrusion that is in the way, I am considering a core xy conversion to one of my Ender 5+ as the speed increase is considerable

Stock the ender three does not have any moving stepper motors on x or y axis. The only moving stepper motor is on the z-axis.

I got the ender 6. I love it. Looks alot better then the ender 7 also. And prints great. Anything from pla tpu petg or abs with a build top.

that bed should release the print once it cools to around room temp mine ususally release around 35c, if it doesnt want to release once at room temp thats a good sign u have the nozzle set a touch close to the bed, lift it just a touch an ur prints will release once cooled. i have these on 7 out of the 8 fdm printers i own an only reason i dont have it on the 8th is cause ive not found one that fits it. id love to try one of these but the price point puts me off. id rather try a ender 6 for little less or build a voron but id still like to try to get my hands on one at the right price. and i think for it to be a actual vase mode print the print is a continuous extrusion from the first layer to the end so theres no retractions or that was the best way ive heard it explained for beginners to understand.

It’s like cars - top speed is 115 mph, but it takes 20 seconds to get up to that speed, and then you see a red light… and have to slow down, so out of a 45 second run, you spend 20 seconds speeding up, and 20 seconds slowing down, so you only spend 5 seconds at top speed. And if the distance between red light is too short, you will never get up to 115 mph…

Hi, Great videos. An observation. I find that the actual print time of my v2 is generally longer than the Cura estimate. So would it not have been better to compare the actual printing time on the v2 to the actual print time on the 7, rather than the estimated v2 and actual 7 times? Keep up the good work.!

Why is the amount of filament different in your examples of time? If same size and model shouldnt it be the same amount of filament used? Seams like your using more infill or wall/bottom,top layers or something for the ender 7, your boat alone is using twice the filament

That is Creality !!! , take them to bits and rebuild them because there is always a fault somewhere . acceleration and jerk makes more difference than speed on small models .

Does anyone have a vibration issue with the top cover from this printer? Mine makes a loud vibration noise coming from the top cover from the front when moving at high speeds.

Very interesting review. There are a few points I'd like to hear more about: 1) How much assembly was involved? Creality printers usually require quite a bit of building, as opposed to some other printers, e.g. the Artillery Sidewinder X2, which are almost completely pre-built. 2) How does this compare to the Ender 6? The Ender 6 is a CoreXY also - from what I see in ads, it actually has a BIGGER build volume than the Ender 7, and costs only 2/3 as much. It also is an enclosed printer. Probably slower, though. 3) The advertising for the Ender 7 mentions it's got a high volume hot end (as befits a fast-printing larger printer). What is this, exactly? Do you need special nozzles, or will regular Mk8 nozzles work? 4) The carborundum glass bed - I've heard you can't use isopropyl alcohol to clean it - is it true? It will supposedly strip off the coating they put on the glass. (It turned out to be true for my Artillery Sidewinder X2, which has a non-removable glass bed.) There's another CoreXY machine I was looking at, the Two Trees Sapphire Plus. This is a 300x300x400mm printer, and costs about 60% the price of a Ender 7.

Shame the slicer settings were different in the tests or the W7 would have been even faster by the look of it. I think there's god scope for tuning the Acceleration and jerk to make it even faster as these should be higher than a bog standard printer as the print head and gantry is so light.

I really like this printer, but I still hesitate to buy one. That bug in the firmware is still not solved after months since the first release. And on top of that - The firmware is closed source, so I cannot tweak anything in the firmware and solve the problem myself, and thus am at the mercy of Creality to improve that firmware. It would be better if they gave the users the source code, so they can tweak the firmware (and that probably would be a benefit for Creality themselves). That would make things like adding a BLTouch and hunting down bugs a lot easier. It probably would improve their sales too because, if you take me for instance, most 3D printer buyers like to fine-tune their printers for optimal result. That's sadly not really possible without access to the source code of firmware. In my case I probably stick with my (modified) Ender 5, until the above is possible.

I would not recommend putting the print bed in the freezer because it cools really fast and your glass bed can break Dont ask how i know it.

I BOUGHT ONE TODAY AND IT DOESNT PRINT. IT SHUTS DOWN AND RESTARTS RIGHT WHEN IT GETS TO 200 AND GOES TO MOVE.

I'm little confused if you look at ex big bench in 5 hours the ender 7 print almost 10meter more filament than the ender 5 how come in that case its very much faster just a thought

Just spray some ipa on the finished print and it will come loose easy.. even works good with petg on clean glass

I have a printer that I bought used. Im not sure of the manufacture but it says Makerbase on the back of the board. I also just bought an ender 3 pro. I send the exact same gcode file to both but the old machine is about 25% faster. They are both boden style printers. Do you any idea why this would be?

there's no way it can't print at 250mm/s i have an ender 6 and i routinely print at 300 mm/s. after upgrading to linear rails and direct extruder and few more things, i print at 500

Not impressive, in my opinion. In best creality traditions - very... let's say "low-end" extruder and hotend. And bowden... printer like this would benefit so much from good lightweight direct drive setup. Default settings which result in print times easily possible on ender3 with some tweaking. Issues, both software and hardware, which would be quite a pain for less experienced user to troubleshoot. And the saddest part - fairly good frame, as usual on creality printers, with which it would be possible to do so much more if only other parts were better... Also from less technical point of view - it is about 4 times more expensive than ender3. For a person who just wants to print things, is not going to mod it and does not know anything about different kinematics - is it really worth 4x more? Are the prints really so much better and faster that such price difference can be justified? No, not at all. Especially given it is still unreliable in the same way as ender3...
