Join me and the crew on a brisk December day as we head to Walking Purchase Park (aka Sal's Loop aka Bethlehem trails) to check out all of the awesome work they've done to the trails there over the past couple years. I had only been there once before about 2 year ago, and I've gotta say I was pretty impressed with the recent stuff. Tons of rock work, berms, jumps, drops and even some small gaps. The trails can be done as a giant XC loop (Sal's Loop - www.trailforks...) or you can do a more enduro style loop like we did, hitting 4 of the 5 stages from the Steel City Enduro that is held here annually...descending the fun, rocky stuff and climbing the road/gravel to get back to the top.
The trail conditions were frozen mud & leaves so it felt like I was dragging an anchor for a majority of the ride, but I can't wait to get back in good conditions to hit the jump lines and get really pinned. There is no shortage of great trails to hit in the greater Lehigh valley, and this one should definitely be added to your riding rotation if you're in the area!
