I am a descendant of an 11th century Catholic Saint not sure if that has any bearing on my situation or not. I stepped away from organized religion as a child - I was 8 when I told my mom I wasn't going back to church. Wow Debs, this is incredible. when I was 15-16 I was preparing to go away to a residential high school for gifted kids. I was a visual arts major and as I went into my junior year of high school I was accepted to an Ivy league school. then reality began creeping in and so did the depression. It all fell apart. the promises my parents and other adults made to me also fell away. I began an unreal struggle. At 51 I am still putting the pieces together. its been one crazy event after another. it seemed every time I found stability it didn't last. Its all I've ever wanted. I'm getting close to having it together again. its only been about survival. I lost my mom in 2016 and that was the last time everything fell away. I am so thankful to have lived in this time... I'm almost there....I can feel it... chains are being broken... beliefs are changing and also disintegrating....Super tough times over the past 6 years lots of loss... lots of feeling alone but also so many spiritual things being discovered like magic... nothing I have ever experienced before as an adult. Just about 10 years of ISOLATION. Grew away from any friends and family. I spent time caring for animals outside 1/3 acre. No one even comes close to understand me. They completely misunderstand me.

My job that I have worked myself into an early grave for because I thought people needed me has just turned into a state of 'do as you are told' they don't care that I am working at maximum capacity and they want me to do more. I said no and got told I have no choice. Oh yes I do and if it means moving on I will. I feel so bad saying no, I hate saying no, but to survive I have to. OMG!!! this is so on point, and recently exactly what you said about a job, happened to me, exactly that way just recently. My mind is blown. Yes, my life have been like someone stood me up against a wall and fired at me with a shotgun. Been ducking and diving all my life, so tired of it. My childhood vas chaos but thought I would be able to have a 'normal' life, never did it happen. It has been 'survival' mode for me. Childhood was chaos and have had to look out for myself all my life. Not been in the flow in a long time, at least a decade, tiresome. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
