Since overall length was a limiting factor, I wonder why you went with a top mount. Did you give up storage space for the better view and safer operating area knowing you could not make the engine longer? What were the trade offs and and why this choice? Thanks

Engine pump water, truck be tool box (in Topeka KS trucks do not have a ladder like most other cities do. Instead they have aerials.)
