So many great Korean players that would own Solar have retired due to the paltry income Korean SC2 players make…he should be in every final (particularly with how erratic Dark’s play has become). If Solar had won or at least advanced to the final, you could make the argument that Solar, Reynor and Serral are top 3 zergs in the world. Solars gonna have to just wait until Maru leaves for military service. Maybe he’ll win then.

I believe he definitely should try to go for more Roach Ravager army in early game. His inability to break Seiged tank position really cost him all those games. Solar weakness at the moment is him being way to predictable with his build order, this always lingbane into Hydra into Lurker/Viper.

I believe that when zerg has to transfer the game off of ling bane, he is already giving up his advantage. However often times it's necessary to remain in the game.

I dont think he throw, but he just know how to play 1 mode and its too much of a "hit or miss" for him. If it works than it really works, but it will backfire big time if things arent going well.

Well that would only be the case if protoss were OP since over many many games, the advantage of various spawn positions, expansion counts, terrain and expansion locations should be equalized. Unless one race is just generally stronger, all things map-related being held equal. That said, I’d imagine a procedurally generated map would not play well unless heavily limited by a logical ruleset. Imagine spawning in your opponent’s natural.

@@folieadeux147 There would obviously be tournament balance rule sets to the procedural generation, including a mandatory minimum distance between mains. You're maybe missing the main point with your talk about map balance features. The reason that procedural generation would inherently benefit Protoss regardless of what map features actually ended up being generated is due to proxy locations. Finding a proxied Protoss building would become less certain - this one feature is inherently better for Protoss in their match-ups than for either other race. Not sure how significant it would be, of course... and it would only benefit cheesy/high risk play. /shrug
