@@angelinajolieforever762 @AshMcbride - I would also love for Carol 2 but not so much now because Cate Blanchett and Sarah Paulson did an IG Live on May 19, 2020. An IG question was asked would there be a Carol 2, the story of Carol and Abby. Cate laughed and said yes the movie would be called "Cabby". I believe Cate was joking because I don't want to see Carol and Abby's relationship before Carol met Therese. At this point I don't think a Carol 2 would improve on Carol, so for me, there should NOT be a Carol 2. I want to keep the dream that Carol and Therese are living their lives in New York together, happily ever after...lol💕

Their chemistry is like Adèle and Noémie(Portrait of a Lady on Fire), the gaze on each other is like something a real spark between them. I love this movie so much, captivated me even watched it again, don’t know how many times already and never get tired of watching it again. 🏳️‍🌈😌

This is one of the films that is supposed to show the chemistry between two actresses who played homosexual people in only one film. A film dedicated to non-heteronormative people. Charming. I'm sorry ladies who are fascinated by this film, but both actresses are declared heterosexuals and only played lesbian roles for the film.

2:41 Yes! This is the first time I see people talking about it and edit it into the fan video. I'm so glad to know people have the same perception as me about the scene. Cate used her renowned sense of humor to brilliantly break the embarrassment generated from getting that close to Terease/Rooney, and Rooney' instant response, the burst of a shy laugh, feels so natural, so spontaneous. What a splendid impromptu wit of Cate!

And I have a feeling whenever seeing the scene that the toss to President Mackinley was not scripted but an instant creation of Cate. And Rooney's true response proved it. Well, that's how I feel about the scene.

They are just so convincing in the movie these two phenomenal actresses that even when you see them together at press interviews or sitting beside each other to talk about the movie you are still convinced they ARE in love, and have those feelings for one another Acting is acting but I don't think you can pull off such a great performance if you are NOT attracted to each other in some psychical and emotional way.

This is soooo good, I finally can hear what was said between them and about them. Thank you, fantastic job! What a wonderful birthday present for Rooney (Cate Blanchett making love ❤️ to you and you making love ❤️ to her🤯!) The best gift she ever got in my opinion and what a thrill for Cate that a young woman would love and admire her so much and continually say and show this love and admiration over and over again in interviews! I hope they are close and stay close in real life. This movie is an EXCELLENT piece of Work/Art! It’s a gift of love to all who view it! 😘 Please let their be a Carol part 2 with a happy ending 🤞🏻 🙏

I love this movie. It sort of reminds me of a relationship I had with a much older woman whilst I was in my ‘30s. These days I am not sure if I’d rather be Carol or Therese and version of this wonderful story

An outstanding adaptation of the book 'The Price of Salt' written by Patricia Highsmith's pseudonym Claire Morgan....as an older lesbian it was one of the first books that didn't end tragically. Cate Blanchett is mesmerizing and Rooney Mara an excellent entre nous. Then add in Sarah Paulson. Amazing.

Eu AMOOO este filme. A Therese toda menina e depois ela "cresce " quando a Carol afastar dela. Muda o cabelo, a profissão é TUDO TÃO LINDO. Fooooora a cumplicidade LINDA da Carol, da Therese e da Amiga dela. NINGUÉM sabia de naaaada. Pela época e Carol era da alta sociedade. Sao varias nuances que o filme trás. Tabuuuus, crenças que poderiam ser limitantes. Eu AMOOOO. Um ABSURDO não ter ganhado o oscar.

Why am I here? Who brought me here? Tegan & Sarah brought me here & their memoir written by Matilda Douglas-Henry where this movie, Carol, is mentioned. One of the twins (both Tegan & Sarah are gay) mentions this film because the character of Therese watching Carol reminded her of her first time falling for a girl & her constantly watching the girl & how she felt for her. So I went from listening to the music by Tegan & Sarah, to reading their brief memoir, to watching video clips of Carol. I can't wait to see this movie for the first time.

Richard Semco would have been perfect to have played a Character in "Hollywood". It showed the "Closeted" Life of Hollywood in the 1940's. He could have played a Gas Attendant whose Clients say they want to go to Dreamland which is a "Code" word For Sex. Sarah Paulson's "Partner" Holland Taylor was in the Movie as an Acting Teacher.

Jajaja ya somos dos. Deberían de hacer una serie juntas, la película debió de a ver ganado un Oscar mínimo. Por sus actuaciones, por su fotografía la historia, todo. Y si te fijas aunque no entendemos el idioma, basta con ver las miradas el coqueteo de cate Blanchet hacia rooeny mara. También en una entrevista con Ellen DeGeneres, cate dijo que el mejor beso co-estrella fue con Rooney. Así que con eso deja entre ver muchas cosas jajaja
