I do really admire heechul and super junior for this. He could have left the group years ago citing that he can't dance anymore but they instead made sure that he would still be part of the group in other ways. It's so wholesome

After this episode air, the PD actually revealed SuJu personally went to him asking him to cut out all of the crying scenes as Eunhyuk & Shindong also ended up crying when the topic of parents came up. They believed that viewers only want to see them laughing and they've definitely ruined the broadcast by crying too much. This just broke my heart to million pieces. I know SuJu relied on variety since they debut to survive, and I can't bear the thought of the strict disciplined and expectation they were put through since young. What kind of monster tell young kids they can't cry or show weakness just bc they're 'entertainers'. SuJu has always been on tv 24/7 too give them some slack

이거 보니까 예전에 김희철 태도논란 떠오름. 그때 다리 다쳤다는 말보다 무대에서 대충 한다 라는 말이 더 많게 들렸었고 사람들 김희철 인기 오르더니 열심히 안한다고 한참 욕하던 때가 있었는데.... 그 때 다쳤던 다리가 지금까지도 김희철을 힘들게 하는 줄은 몰랐음..... 진짜 마음 아프다...

I'm really amazed and happy when I see how each SuJu member love each other unconditionally. How each member contribute to reach to where they are now. It also breaks my heart everytime they recall all the hardships they've gone through to reach this far. They may have their individual shows and projects but they still don't forget that they are still Super Junior. I'm proud to be an ELF for 14 years now. Super Junior the last men standing. 💙💙💙

I cried while watching this even though I'm not an elf. I really enjoy watching programs where Heechul appears in cos he laughs so much and makes jokes and shows a side of him where we would think that he's having a happy life. It's really rare to see Kim Heechul cry and I'm glad he let out his tears!

But when he talks about things like his legs, or being lonely, it makes me wonder how much he hides behind a smile? They're basically the group that went through it all. There were a lot of ups and downs, members leaving, and yet they still maintained their brotherhood and managed to survived 16 years. I got into kpop in 2012 and they were the first kpop group that I stanned. Never regret stanning them ever since. Then I started stanning a lot of groups after them (shinee, bap, btob, exo), yet my attachment to these groups didn't last. But suju on the other hand, I realized I didn't completely forget them after all those years. Recently youtube recommended me a video of them and found myself laughing my ass off because of their crazy antics and immediately fell into nostalgia hole because of how much I missed them. My love for them resurfaced once again. Or rather, it never faded, it was still there. I'm still in love with Super Junior. I'm still a proud Elf. 💙 Heechul! You're doing great hun. We Elves are proud of you :)

초기에 슈쥬 너무 촐싹대고 나대는 거처럼 보여서 진정성이 없는 애들인줄 알고 재네들 나오면 채널을 돌렸던 기억이 나네.. 그때 내가 너무 구렸었나보다. 미안~ 언제부터인지는 몰라도 나도 모르게 입덕하게 됨..어느순간 보면 볼수록 진국인게 느껴져 다 챙겨 보게 되었지..오래가는 이유가 있었네..^^

I have been stanning and leaving fandoms but I always end up stanning and cheering this dorks. It feels home.

Super Junior is such a dorky and happy-go-lucky group that it's heartbreaking when they start breaking down. But it's even more hearbreaking when you see them trying hard to cover it up by starting making jokes in order to not cry. As a fan of 10 years, I witness those scenes way too many times and I just want to say SuJu, it's okay to cry sometimes.

Over a decade of living with that pain, not talking about it even to his members... How painful it must have been? I'm glad Heechul was able to open up about it, even if I'm also sorry the reason he did is because the pain became too much to bear alone. Hopefully his leg will get better with rest and he'll be able to perform together with Suju someday again, even if it's only every now and then, and only a song or a part of a song. And even if he can't perform again, I'll continue to love and support him as a celebrity. Universe Star, the best entertainer and a good person.
