该剧改编自亦舒经典同名小说。
　　出身于上海普通人家的95后女孩麦承欢（杨紫饰），在母亲刘婉玉（何赛飞饰）的催促下，与男友辛家亮（牛骏峰饰）议婚。但辛家优渥的经济条件让这段原本平等的感情关系变得失衡，同时，麦母对女儿终身大事的过度插手，加速了麦承欢和辛家亮的分手。在孝顺父母和忠于自我之间，麦承欢艰难求索，她逐步从母亲强势的关爱中挣脱，在工作上更专心进取。麦承欢的蜕变得到了继祖母的认可，把自己最看重的酒店经营重任托付给她。继祖母的亲孙、职业酒店经理人姚志明（许凯饰）在与麦承欢的合作中逐渐对她理解并认同，俩人成为工作伙伴，携手并进。而在生活中，姚志明被麦家烟火气之下的真情包围，与麦承欢的感情逐渐升温。从“承欢膝下”到“成就自我”，麦承欢走出了一条独属于自己的不平凡的成长之路。
►Synopsis:
Mai Chenghuan, who comes from an ordinary family in Shanghai, was urged by her mother, Mrs. Liu, to discuss marriage with her boyfriend Xin Jialiang. However, the favorable economic conditions of the Xin family made this originally equal relationship unbalanced. At the same time, Mrs. Liu’s excessive interference in her daughter's lifelong affairs accelerated the breakup between Mai Chenghuan and Xin Jialiang. Torn between filial piety to her parents and loyalty to herself, Mai Chenghuan struggled to find a way out. She gradually broke free from her mother's strong love and focused more on her work. When I saw Yao Zhiming’s father was hit by a car,I felt that the screenwriter’s writing was too unreasonable.

What is so good in a series is the part where the supposed to be villain Yao Renfu realized the kindnesses that Mai Chenghuan showed him while he is s staying @the Xiang’lli Hotel. The realization, too of Yao Zhiming’s rash words towards his father through wise words from Chenghuan. The DEATH of his father was a big blow to him as he thought about future relationship with his fathet, like what Chenghua said, “Turning a new leaf”. But, it was too late, his father passed without forming a formal relationship with him. I love Chenghuan’s mother ACTING LIKE A MOTHER towards Zhiming, I find it very touching indeed, her care is sincere. There is this scene with Chenghuan’s /Yang Zi the SORROWFUL expression was pretty convincing caring for a boyfriend’s feelings and sadness they are experiencing. Delivered a believable acting. Zhang Peisheng’s ARREST WAS SWEET and FULFILLED.. This drama’s plot, story line HAS GREAT RELEVANCE to the everyday life--all walks of life. Thank you.

I think that worst choice that they made in this drama was for the father to pass away. After he realized his mistakes, he tried to change and it was too late for Zhiming to accept it. It made me so upset to see it happen! Zhiming's father was so lively and eager for his son's acceptance, and wasn't able to see him after he was accepted. 😭😭😭

do you guys know I searched up if there is a hotel named botticeli in real life bcuz you could see that botticeli hotel's building is shown many times with its logo.
