I got married to my husband of 25 years when I was 32 and he was 22. Oddly, he was the one who was ready and I wasn't sure that I was (even though I was 10 years older). In the end it was the best decision I ever made! I don't think age has anything to do with whether or not you are ready. Congratulations!! :):)

I’m 21 and have been married for 6 months and while it’s challenging because we are young and still figuring out adulthood, it’s also special because we are truly growing and learning how to do things together! Congratulations💛 marriage is such a blessing!!!

I am so glad you spoke about how you weren’t super surprised by your engagement. I think it’s so important to have already talked about it a LOT before a proposal. I think a lot of people like the idea of a spontaneous romantic proposal but marriage is actually a big commitment that some people don’t realize in the moment.

I’m currently sitting in my hotel room while on vacation with my parents and brother in Arizona and trying not to cry. The way you talk about Aidan makes by heart so full and seeing you guys from the start to now is so precious. I hope I find someone like Aidan and talk about him the way you do. My husband and I have been together since we were 14 years old and we got engaged at 21 and married at 23. It was the best decision of our lives! This is such a special time in yalls life so enjoy EVERY SECOND OF IT! Congrats!!

i really love how you talk about being different than Aiden but in a complementary way. i think a lot of people get scared by being different than someone when in reality that’s just how it is sometimes since y’all come from different lives.

Congrats. The way that you answered "how do you know he's the one God wants you to be with" was so beautiful. It wasn't superficial and you can clealrly tell this is love and not infatuation and I am so freaking happy for you because I've been watching your videos for YEARS and I am just over the moon to have been able to see you grow and mature at the same time as I am (were the same age lol). Very insightful hearing you out and about your engagement. I also love how you stated we each have our own perspectives on marriage, when to marry, age and all that. I’ve been dating the most amazing man for over 4 years and I can not see myself being prepared to get married anytime soon due to medical school. Congrats! My daughter just got married at 20 and I was married young too and still happily married! As someone who just went through a wedding, I don’t think you need a wedding planner necessarily but I would highly recommend a day-of coordinator and delegated jobs for other people to do. This could even be a trusted family friend. We had a friend assigned to make sure my daughter’s ideas and plans were implemented so we could all enjoy the day and not have to worry about it. This friend was a life saver. She made sure all the venue and food stuff was delivered on time and decorations were set and everything was in place by the time the wedding started.

Michelle, I had my first child at 21 and married her father at 23. You definitely don't need to justify yourself. What works for one person, won't necessarily work for everyone. I'm so happy for you and am sending you best wishes!!

I love this so much. :’) I got engaged last December when I was 19 and we went into it knowing we were going to have a long engagement because I wanted to graduate college before we got married. We’re getting married January 2021 and I’ll be 21 and he’ll be 22, so we have gotten so many side comments about our ages from anyone and everyone. A common one was for them to ask me if he was in the military lol. I agree with you that life doesn’t end when you get married, it’s just a life change. I personally can’t wait to live life with my best friend and be able to have a home of our own :) so excited for you and I’m excited to see your wedding planning journey as I actually begin to start mine!

Congrats on the engagement! I got married at 20 years old and didn’t have many people say anything about getting married young. We really wanted to just grow old together as a married couple! We did get comments from people from like high school and not close friends which, like you said, they don’t know us so it didn’t matter. But we were together for 4 years the day after our wedding so just about the same as you guys!! Good luck, it truly is the best day of your life😊

when it comes to changing your name in your online my presence, my thought process would be that 1. i feel like a lot of us were here before the transition from smileyandshell to Michelle Reed & it honestly didn't impact us at all but i'm sure it was a nice change for you & 2. you're still so young and your brand is going to continue to grow with you, so if you wanted to change your brand name i don't think it would be an issue in terms of your following. i know in my career path that name change will be kind of a weird transition, but i personally definitely want to take my future husband's name even in a professional setting. congratulations again to you and Aidan!

I got married at 20 and we got a lot of judgment because we are from a town in colorado where people get married in their 30s! However, I wouldn't change when I got married! Its super nice to "grow up" together.
