Be very mindful using silicone sealant near electronics, especially for sealed enclosures. That sealant gives off acetic acid vapor while curing, which can destroy any exposed conductors. I don’t think it’s too well known, but I’ve heard many horror stories.

Indeed, avoid acid cure (acetoxy) silicone sealants. The acid can damage metal/conductors. There are neutral cure silicone sealants that are safe to use with electronics. It is even available in big box store, for example GE Silicone 2 (NOT GE Silicone 1, which is acid cure).

I miss more Wendell’y content like this, part of what I loved so much about Tek Syndicate was your depth of knowledge contrasting with Logan’s chaotic topic rotation. Things are kinda sterile for me but I hope some of that magic can return in a new way. I like your willingness to share the spotlight with co-hosts but the depth of knowledge seems to be dulled so as not to outshine them. We want maximal Wendell yo.

tbh, each of them has different interest so Wendell doesn't have to worry to outshine them. Having kreestuh or grizzle content once a month is refreshing though, especially that high-octane content like level2techs or last year's remote office tips and trick.

I've been loving EnGenius, when I have people install outdoor p2p bridges for connecting buildings together, they have proved to be reliable, predictable, and simple with nothing extra that I can just give an idiot, and even the idiot with a little help can install and set up just fine, and its super easy to give instructions over the phone. I had all kinds of issues with ubiquiti gear.

The problem I have with the "cloud configuration" is that their idea of the device's lifetime may not be the same as my own. If they decide the day after I buy it that they can't afford to keep their service running, what's my recourse? Virtually none. What's my recourse when they inevitably leak any data I've ever given them? What's the benefit for the consumer to have the configuration portal cloud based rather than local? All I see are negatives, and that's fundamentally not something I can support with my business.

As an IT guy with electromagnetic hypersensitivity, I am not interested in the WiFi doodad, but I would be very interested if you could detail the NSA room a bit more in a video. WiFi 6 is probably highly dangerous, the iodine molecule vibrates/gyrates at 6Ghz and a lot of people are allready highly defficient in iodine (search: 6ghz iodine absorbtion spectra). I imagine that wil cause thyroid problems.
