Engineer Gettman does an excellent job explaining how she makes sure the engine is ready for her crew. So good to see someone who cares for her engine and her crew! Fantastic advice on selling yourself at your interviews to get to where you want to be!

She definitely lives by the creed, "The buck stops here!". Always check out and know your rig because any foul up will ultimately try to land on the engineers shoulders. Respect!

you go girl, I spent 20 years as an Advanced life support Paramedic, then I got into fire service as a volunteer, I know how long it took me to be proficient with all those skills, not only firefighting but pump operator, driver, now at 46 I am the chief in my department and we do over 200 calls a year, if you love it, there is always something new to learn, much respect from a fellow medic and firefighter

I am a firefighter who has worked in Korea for 21 years. Currently, I am driving a fire pump car, an ambulance, and an ambulance. In Korea, I think that the development of specialized fields is more important than recognition of various careers. In the field, we know that extensive experience is important for more active and effective work. Always be careful with your safety! God will be with you!

The first thing that caught my eye was Marissa’a arm definition. And how insightful the workouts are. I am currently working out myself, and getting ready for my next fire season (been doing it for two years, going on 3) I recently got accepted to work for the Forest Service out in Washington State. So I am trying to get a different perspective on how to stay in shape without gassing out so much.

I knew a dude that was an engineneer in the city. I was a county ff. I rode on his crew once in a while. An old fart pulled in front of us in a busy intersection and sat there. Siren on, lights and full airhorn in his open window for about one minute and he finally got the idea and moved out into the intersection and we went through. Lol we laughed so hard, good times. Engineers are really detailed and very professional. You only get that position when you are the best ff. Its an honor to get that promotion. Awesome ff lady right here. She is strong and proud and has every right to be. Thank you to my fellow brotherhood for your commitment on this tough and awesome job!

There are no people anywhere that have my respect more than the US Military AND Firefighters. What I would give to turn my clock back 51 years and redo my path. Marissa, doing a great job! Keep going!! Personally learned an important lesson many years ago. Had guys on a ladder, giving them 3 or 4 Bar. From the tank. All fine. Then connected to a hydrant straight into the eye of the pump. When they opened it up sent a minimum 10 Bar through the hose . Burst the line, fortunately, no one got hurt. (Did not realise we happened to be close to the local pumping station). I felt like shit, that I'd let my team down. Afterwards I always put incoming water into the tank inlet. That way you have control. Stay safe in these troubled times🚒🚒
