Great it just happened to me cos of flat battery thanks very much worked a treat

Unlocking procedure and re-setting the Windows/Sunroofs after P38 battery dis-connection; Emergency Key Access: to use if the handset is lost/battery dis-connected. 1.Using the Key, turn the driver’s door lock (anti-clockwise) to the Lock position 4 times and return the key to the centre position after each turn of the Key. It will now be possible to use your individual Emergency Access Code (this is a four digit number that should be on the vehicle Security Information Code. Example Emergency Access Code: 1234. . Ensure each Key movement is carried out with precision and turned the full extent of its travel. . After turning the Key to either the lock or unlock position, make sure it is fully returned to the centre (vertical) position. . If your forget your place in the sequence/code, open and shut the door and start again. Three incorrect code entries and there will be a 30 minute delay before you can re-try. Code entry 1234: 1. Enter the first digit of the code by turning the Key to the unlock position once and fully return the Key to the centre position. 2. Enter the second digit of the code by turning the Key to the unlock position twice and fully return the Key to the centre position. 3. Enter the third digit of the code by turning the Key to the unlock position three times and fully return the Key to the centre position. 4. Enter the fourth digit of the code by turning the Key to the unlock position four times and fully return the Key to the centre position. Finally turn the key to the unlock position once more to disarm the alarm and re-mobilize the engine. U.k P38 Owners Handbook page 16/17. Now to overcome the dash warning signs as displayed in this video: Windows Not Set. Fully open and close each window in one continuous operation (note that an audible warning sounds and WINDOW SET is displayed in the message centre). It appears you started the EKA code entry in the wrong direction?

Can I add to my instructions below that my vehicle is a Rangie P38 2001, not sure if earlier versions are the same but if they are the details will be in the respective Owners manual.

How did you handle the introduction of the code? I am in the same position.
